January 31, 2011, 03:14:13 PM
The problem in spline bit socket is that the largest size iz M18 and the diameter of this one is 18mm not 22mm. I can\'t find the 22mm size... does somebody know where to get it?

Thanks!

General Technical / 99+ thermoswitch where?
January 25, 2011, 07:13:03 PM
Just to answer on my question. 99+ Rx7 doesn\'t have a termoswitch. The thermoswitch fan relay is controled by ECU, which engage the higher fan speed at higher water temperature.... if someone will search for this. By!

General Technical / Steering rack removal
January 25, 2011, 07:07:53 PM
Hi,

I am trying to remove the steering rack. I remove and unbolt everything so it is loose. Now I have a qustion... Is it possible to remove it withouth lowering the subframe? In the US they are saying that it is possible to remove, but for RHD I don\'t know.

What is your experiance?

Thanks!

Maybe you saw one from Ireland? But I think they have different regulation for importing, like Sweden, they don\'t need TUV.
#7
Sorry mate.... but I think for 99+ Rx7 there is no TUV, because when I imported mine I also couldn\'t get TUV. My friend call TUV company in Germany and they told him that noone hasn\'t imported this car (year) and pay for making the TUV so because of that there is no TUV. But I think you can pay to make TUV... but it is very expencive... and offcourse you must hand over the car.

If you want Rx7 I think there isn\'t so much problem for older model.

I got lucky when I import mine, because I import the car to Sweden first (one of my friends imported the car to his country and then register it there - they don\'t need TUV, and a month later I bought it from him and import to my country.... maybe he can help you... http://www.fvk-engineering.com/index.php?id=8&L=1... he is also expert in importing the car from Japan... I think he is selling a couple of Rx7 on his web page)...
And then I didn\'t have so much trouble importing the car to my country, because the car was already registered in EU.

I can only help you with Swedish papers and some other papers I got from Japan for my 99 Rx7. Let me know!

May 18, 2010, 08:39:39 AM
Hi guys,

Does someone know where the thermoswitch in 99+ spec car is?
I look at the usual place, but there is only one sensor (probably the water temperature sensor)...

Thanks!

General Technical / boost pattern - video
May 17, 2010, 09:21:24 PM
Hi everyone,

Last days I am noticing a weird boost pattern/transition. The primary turbocharger boosts OK (10psi), but the transition isn’t so noticeable… boost drop for instance to 9psi, but when the secondary turbocharger kicks in the boost go beyond 10psi (around 11psi) but after 200-500rpms drops down to 10psi and stays dead on. I also notice that when I am off the throttle in the second turbocharger region (5000rpm +) and then back on WOT the pressure rises beyond 10psi and then drop down.

I have a stock 99´ Rx7 with no modification. Before that I didn’t have a boost pattern issue so now I am asking you, if this is normal or it indicates that something will go bad soon. I also attacked video... sorry because video isn’t so good.

Hi,

10 days ago I bought FC datalogit from their site http://www.fc-datalogit.co.nz/.

But now I am a little concern, because I didnt get any info about my order. So I write them on all the e-mails they have. No answer!

Is the FC datalogit still available? Does someone have any experience? Should I wait a little more or what? :xconfused
