Cars for Sale / Rx7 type x manual black rebuilt
October 18, 2013, 04:07:17 PM
Up or sale is my Mazda rx7 type x (with body coloured sunroof)
73k miles(probably actually less as this car came to the uk in km`s)
only 1000 since rebuild
It is up fore sale as I have another and don\'t get to use it
Spec is a type x this means leather all round (drivers seat recently renovated)
sunroof-cruise control-climate control-pas twin oil coolers-twin strut braces
bose sound system
standard features are abs c/locking(3x keys 2X fobs) pas twin turbo elec windows
extras are alarm kakimoto cat back and k&n m`s air filters
otherwise this is a completely standard car and obviously a standard air box can be re-fitted.
It was rebuilt last year(@amt automotive) due to oil seal failure and has had a full rebuild with only genuine Mazda parts(tips/corner seals/bearings/water seals etc)
it has covered less then 1k miles since then and is now fully run in with no problems
starts hot and cold on the button and is a very smooth car to drive
new battery and power flex rear tie rod bushes
car is 20 years old so has a couple of marks but one of not many good stock FD3`s left
bad points
1 mark(new whilst writing ad)in rear bumper but can be fixed before sale and slight crease in 1 headlight cover im trying to be as honest as possible
it has mot until April 2014 but can have 12 months and 6 months tax if price agreed
Thanks for looking

Anything Engine/Performance/Tuning related / 12A rebuild?

Put a bit of oil/wd down the exhaust holes and turn ovder by hand and you should hear it becoming healthier

you don\'t really want to separate it again as the bits for that are a pig to get.

I\'ll be surprised if anybody lets there rotor trimming secrets out.

Quote from: colum;846839Simple answer is cut a rotor up and find out what you have to play with then it\'s some simple maths

I had a go at lowering cr of rew rotors

Carl, if the car goes faster than it did ill be happy, auto box is still for sale if anyone wants it?

*plug*

I\'ve now got a liberty for it :)

did the results make up for the time you had to put in?

Quote from: Grant Monkhouse;826682I think a rotary diesel would work very well, diesels need heat and not a spark plug of which we all know a turbo rotary produces lots of heat. I think it would rev like a piston engine too.

Anyway we shall see what they come out with. When is lemans?

Granted they need the heat but they also need twice the comp of a petrol to meet emissions and run post/pre injection so would probably not start at all if it drops off.

im sure the clever boys at mazda could if they wanted but mileage and wear would be so hard to compensate for on a rotary diesel

if you need it only for a track car then you will need,
a 10 mm tee piece and 3 unions and some copper brake pipe and a flaring tool, thats about it,
you have to basically run one pipe from the master cylinder to the rear brake union on the nsf bulk head(by fuel pipes),then run the other part of the cylinder to a tee where one goes to nearside front and one goes to offside front, theres prob a how to somewhere

nice when people post positive things about them and realise why they love them.

Also one way valves can be faulty even if they pass the blow test, and be very carefully when pulling off old hoses as if they\'ve gone hard you might snap the ends off the solonoid ,also google rx7 vac hose diagram
