Fitted with Dunlop slicks.... But to be honest I wouldn\'t use them, may do for drifting type malarky £200 ono
Could do with some TLC

The Oil injectors are only fed with atmospheric that is filtered in the rats nest somewhere. If your premixing and have ditched the OMP then thats not it.
It sounds flooded... possibly because your plugs or stop start or whatever.

Have you checked that the map sensor is plumbed in properly?

Try tow starting it... thats how I\'ve started a few stubborn engines

Lovely day for it too... Myself and Robertio were there for the last few hours.
Didn\'t get a chance to say hello sadly as the one time I did see you you were getting ready for a run up the hill.
Got to love those quiet RX8\'s ;)

I quite fancy having a bash at hillclimbing... looks like a gentlemans sport

I didn\'t think they still ran events at doune... I may be up that way this weekend so If I can I\'ll try and pop in for a nosey.

I think I know what you are talking about .... I got a set of EX stainless lines and they they were profiled now you come to mention it.

I wouldn\'t of thought you would make any more power on your car unless you do something to take advantage of the higher octane... i.e run a bit more advance on your timing.

Fuel economy .... hahahhahhaaaa it\'s a rotary so forget it  ;)

General Technical / engine flush
February 25, 2008, 05:34:12 PM
I have used a FORTE flush before in the past. The good bit is it will break up any sludge and filth in the system and that is a good thing.
However the way these things work is they break down the oil, and as stated above you have a large amount of residual oil in the cooler system when you do an oil change. So this tends to contaminate the new oil and will start to break it down as well. Which is not good for a Rotary. So you have to do a few changes after the flush, usually in the space of a month or so.

Take from that what you will

No Difference between the turbos.... and yes the US downpipes don\'t have to clear the RHD steering column hence the flat spot.
I had a set of US Highflow Twin and the whole pack was a few inches longer which made it a pain to get engines in and out. Also the HKS downpipe fouled the rear compressor housing.

I\'d go speak to one of the tuners WGT, REworx, Dragon or RX Motors if your serious. The shopping list is very long and has been covered a few times on here.
Quick List in no real order. Ported Engine, Engine Management System, Upgrade Fuel System... injectors, FPR and pump/pumps.
Intercooler & Radiator, T51r SPL,  Upgrade Ignition system
I\'ve missed stuff out.. but the grown ups will give you a good steer.
Also you\'ll need big brakes... BIG fduking brakes.
500 is not that easy to hit... also 500 in an FD is a very focussing drive, you\'ll need quick hands ;)

General Technical / Help!! quicky question...
October 02, 2007, 09:08:31 PM
Beyond my knowledge i\'m afraid. I wouldn\'t vent it to atmosphere.
I think you can bin the lot. We had one FD that we replaced the Charcoal can with a Swirl pot for an external fuel pump. The charcoal can is in back, by the fuel filter and the fuel tank. Don\'t remember what was done with the catch tank.

General Technical / Help!! quicky question...

One thing I will say about the non-seq.
When mapping mine when ran out of fuel/injector duty very quickly. Opening up the exhaust side will tend to lean out on a standard Fuel system. Before I was running 0.8 bat relatively happily... once I went non-seq Hi-Flow could only muster 0.5 bar in anger without leaning out.
