Well it needs to be mapped because it has the power fc and runs and drives but really needs to be tweaked to run nice and smoothly.apart from that it drives well, pulls well and generally runs ok.most of the work is going to be cosmetic because it still has part of a crap vinyl wrap that is on it (I didn\'t put that on) and it really needs a respray.plus obviously mot and tax.ill get pics up today.

Cars for Sale / 94 new rebuild project cheap!

I am regrettably selling my project that I started 18 months ago. Unfortunately I have neither the time or money to finish her off and get it fully roadworthy but I was hoping someone on here might be in the right frame to take on a project. Now this ca is pretty rough at the moment but I have spent a lot on the bits running up to now and the car has a lot of really nice parts aswell.

I have rebuilt the engine myself and is showing good compression but still needs some minor tweaking to get it running really smoothly.

The aftermarket parts on the car are as follows;

Full adjustable tein suspension.
Full straight through 3.5" Buddy exhaust
19" bbs alloys powder coated in black
K n N filters
Apexi turbo timer
Boost gauge with pillar mount
Momo steering wheel

The car has done about 62k miles but the odometer has stopped working.

The worst part is the paintwork which had a white and black wrap on which I have taken most off exposing the crappy paintwork underneath. So this is a good project for a sprayer or friend of one!

I know this looks rubbish and I\'m not expecting a lot of interest but I would like to here people\'s opinions and maybe offers.i also have a apexi power fc with hand controller and holder but will sell with the car if the price is right.even if you would like to rip the thing apart and sell the spares it\'s up to you.

Anyway if anyone could let me know then I am happy to explain more if you would like.

I will add pictures later.

Nope that was disconnected ages ago and hasn\'t affected it before.

I\'ve had my car off the road for a while now after its rebuild and have started it and driven it small distances to keep the engine fresh however the other day I tried starting and now it won\'t fire!the engine is just turning and turning but not starting or even trying!
I\'ve checked everything from fuel lines to the coils and spark plugs and everything is fine.what else could it be??
If anyone has a clue please let me know.

Cheers

I have recently started the engine on my 94 fd3s and the engine was running fine. changed both belts and when i had to get to a leaky coolant pipe i took the power steering belt on and now its squealing like a :censored::censored::censored::censored::censored:!

I think i can see its either the power steering pulley or the tensioner cos as soon as i released the tensioner off loads it quietened.but it still can be heard and the belt is quite loose.

so new belt or tensioner or both?

Well i\'m in tidworth garrison.i\'m around most evenings so anytime would be great if you could?
#12
right i have turned the engine by hand and also by the key with the spark plugs out. it is still struggling to turn with the plugs in and the clutch line is still getting super hot!

I have checked all the earth cables and they seem all in and fine but i\'m pretty sure the engine still isn\'t earthed.

Can anyone help me further?like anything that is a common problem or just anything?

If anyone is around salisbury area that could give me a hand i would really appreciate a second opinion?
#13
i will recheck the earths around the engine and starter and see if i can loosen and turn the engine by hand.fingers crossed!
#14
well haven\'t measured that because i have been trying to find the measurements i need but it doesn\'t feel too tight but hey i\'m probably miles too tight!

What should i be looking for?
#15
well i have checked the earth\'s and everything seems fine. the tight build seems reasonable!

It turned over fine and smoothly the first few times and i could turn it over easily when it was out and in.

Could it be the tension of the belts at all?
