This may be a daft question, but are the front indicators supposed to be illuminated (slightly) when the head lights are on?
Only just noticed this as the cars only been out in the dark once.
Its a 1992 FD with a healight conversion if that makes any difference.
The indicators still work as normal but don\'t want to start pulling things apart if I don\'t need to.
Confused
Craig
Not that i have ever noticed mate. sounds like a bad earth some where causing it to track back through the lights.
scott:)
Are your sidelights and indicators in the same pod? Looks like it might be and that could be the cause ie sidelights lighting up the orange.
I may be missing the point, but the sidelights are in the front indicators, and are therefore supposed to light up?
Just to clear this up boss, the side lights and indicators are separate lamps in separate housing with separate reflectors.
What i think is happening is the old ford escort disco lights earth fault :rollin
Cheers
Scott :)

Are you sure. Not convinced they are on that bumper as I know people have had problems getting them through the MOT with them on.

Sorry, i meant that they\'re part of the same unit as such, and he may have thought that the unit was an indicator only.
Thanks for the replies, hope the picture clears up some of the queries. Looks like indicators only to me.

Exactly, but theres where the sidelights normally are. If they are still there behind the indicator than that would be why its illuminated with the lights on.
That was my thinking anyway, could of course be totally wrong :p
