Title: Speaker feedback...
Post by: Initial-D on October 14, 2004, 05:17:39 PM
Strange happenings with my passenger rear speaker, everytime I push the accelerator I get a turbo spool kinda noise from the speaker. It\'s sorta funky and makes the turbo sound bigger than it is but any ideas what could be causing it??

Never had it happen b4 but started after I came back from the Pod on Sunday. Any suggestions appreciated!:D

The head unit was wired in by my own fair hands and hasn\'t had any probs to date. The rears are Pioneer replacements that I put in also - just so weird..?

Right, took out the RE Amemiya soundtracks CD vol.1 but I can still hear it when the units on. ;)

It\'s at the same sound level regardless of wheather I turn the vol up or down when the headunit is on. Not there when the units off.

It\'s when I have a CD on. I haven\'t ever connected the raidio up as I listen to MP3/CDs.

maybe a ground loop ? How have you grounded the headunit in the dash, loads of jap cars need to have a cable running to the bodywork because the original stereo is grounded through the frame and not the harness !

Hmm... I was using just the standard stereo ground, how would it suddenly decide it didn\'t want to ground itself properly tho??

Could have been a knock or joilt thats dislodged something in the dash, sometimes grounds can go bad ! In my fto i was told to wire the headunit ground directly to the battery !!!

It could also be interference from the ignition system, quite a common fault on any car. You can buy noise suppressors that you wire in to eliminate this. Nice and simple;)
