Weird thing happened the other evening - my dash lights went out - All the warning lights etc come on during self test when you first put the keys in and are working fine.
The fuse thats gone is on the second row down, on the left hand side near to the centre bit without a fuse. I\'ve replaced it with another (albiet cheap) fuse and it blew straight away :(
I do have Blitz guages running off the lights - is there a chance they are drawing to much power and making the fuse pop?
Or could it be a loose earth? Again, where would it be?
not changed the radio recently have you ? the backlighting is usually on that circuit too.
short of that check your wiring to the gauges.
No ICE install yet so it can\'t be that.
The fuse second in from the left on the second row down is the problem one I think. It keeps blowing with anything less than a 25 AMP fuse and with a 25 amp fuse in, it gets warm.
Something somewhere is shorting, i\'m sure. Just what is the question :(
dash lights are usually on the sidelight circuit, do the sidelights still work ?
have you checked your wiring ? its most likely somthing you have changed or disturbed recently. I had the same problem in my 323, turns out the wiring that used to be for the radio was shorting out.
Sidelights = fogs?
sidelights = red lights at the rear and the smaller lights at the front that switch on before dipped beam.
Right, on the 1st turn of the lights stork, nothing comes on. Turn it once more and the lights come up and on.
Seems you are on to something...
Anyone?
Where abouts does the dash ground to?
