Title: New veilside kit?
Post by: future on October 12, 2004, 02:00:18 PM
Hi all, just bought my first rx7 a standard black \'94 r1, i\'m loving it so far :)

I\'ve been looking at various bodykits and styling parts, i saw this new kit on //www.veilside.com the d1gt it\'s only just been released see pics and I think that this is the most individual and best looking kit available… What do you think?

After calling veilside in japan they told me to contact Nemesis in essex as they are the uk dealers, I spoke to a guy there called sam about the price he told me the kit costs £1527 including vat. I asked if I could get a discount and he said they often do group buys on these sort of things, so if I can organise 5 kits in total the kit will cost us £1233 or if we can get 8 people £1100!

If anybody is interested in joining in with me on this one then you need to contact Sam @ Nemesis on Tel 01206 273344 or e-mail sam@nemesisperformance.net

He has informed me that when we get 5 people together then He will contact us all back to arrange payment and a delivery date.

I\'m not a big fan of the Veilside styling, sometimes seems a bit OTT, but that D1GT kit looks nice and those prices make the FEED stuff look rather pricey!

Aaah, couldn\'t place Si\'s nose, glanced at it and must have just assumed it was 99 spec - still, looks good.

But don\'t worry about me, FEED all the way :) Awwww yeah.

& i will add, since no-one else will tell you about it & it may have disasterous results! they need modifying if you want to use them with a standard intercooler!
Otherwise they look horrible & no-one else should buy them (http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/contrib/ed/wink2.gif)
Si (last sentance is a joke so i can keep my relative monopoly, first comment however is totally serious!)

i think our non-disclosure period is now up (they are absolutely paranoid about anyone seeing it) ... i\'ll post a single pic of it later ..

it is being designed for a certain star that will be driven in a certain movie that might be about fast japanese cars ;)

Steve, About the Fortune FD Rx7 kit,

There was a huge 3 page feature on it and the movie in Option magazine just before I left Japan.

Most people should know by now.
If they could read Japanese they would.
There marketing seems a little strange.

I swayed from the Veilside D1 kit for price reasons after the parts were stolen from my car and the excess for sending my used parts from Japan.
Plus you have to get your car very very low for it to look good. IMO.

I went for a Cwest Copy made in Australia for $400.
It sure does not fit very well. My amemiya stuff fit perfectly first time. This one is a dogs breakfast.

Lol! I found the answer to my post on your other thread!

Haven\'t yet seen the new Veilside kit, will have a rummage on the net. Anyone know if Option/Option2 do UK subscriptions cos I have to walk miles at lunch to get a copy for like £7!!

At least you can get it!

If you see V-Opt 127 around let me know cause thats got a feature from Birmingham Wheels on it so Id kind of like to get it (should be getting a rip of the UK bit soon though, so if its actually crap I wont want it)!

Will do, I wish someone would put up a torrent to all the Option vids!!

You have the full hyper-rev RX-7 vids on your computer? I can only get the intro and not the entire thing.
