Bemused!
I keep getting different readings from the oil pressure guage suddenly.
At idle it drops to zero or when iam slowing down toward a roundabout.
But then, magically, I get 3-4kg and all looks fine.
On my way to Santa Pod, the pressure leapt to 6 Kg!! then dropped back and stayed constant.
Someone please give me an idea what might be happening?
Worried and not sure where to start....sender unit? pump?
or something more sinister.....
BTW when this first started, I discovered to my horror, the oil level had run badly low, suddenly. But. no leaks or mess anywhere?
Would a duff make of oil cause this?
muchas gracias
Greg
Greg are you talking about the stock oil gauge in the dash or an after market gauge?
If its the stock one, dont worry to much, as they are well known for miss reading.
If it however is an after market gauge, then I would get it checked out.

It is the stock one mate. Its done about 65,000 miles. Thanks for the reply.
The sensors get gunked up, and the wire becomes like crap to them. If you really want to know that you have good oil pressure get yourself an after market gauge and sensor.

Greg are you aware that these cars burn oil as part of it\'s normal engine cycle?
You have to keep your eye on the oil level and top up periodicaly.

Thanks Brian.
I didnt know the Rotary actually burned oil purposely...I will be checking the dip far more frequently now I know that.
cheers
Greg
Fish, will take your advice with the aftermarket guage most likely.
