Title: Glazed brake pads??
Post by: Martiny on May 18, 2003, 03:59:18 PM
Hi all

After yesterday\'s track session, it seemed to me that on the road on the way home. I was having to use a lot more pressure than usual. I hadnt noticed any fade at all on the track, and I used the last lap to cool them down.

What do you all think? Have I glazed them?

Hi Martin ,

Sounds like it , if they  still have lots of life left and you don\'t want to replace them remove them and rub the faces with coarse emery cloth or carefully with a surform file to remove a few thou then refitt and bed in again .

What pads were you useing ? may-be it\'s time for a better pad?

All the best Clive.

Thanks Clive

I have no idea what pads they are. Came with the car about a year ago. Plenty of life in them, thats why Ive never taken them out.

Thanks for the feedback on my driving, by the way. Oh, and your car looks stunning!  :-)
