Title: Front Side Lights
Post by: Steve Burnett on May 18, 2003, 03:11:34 PM
Hi there,
Im wondering how best to clean up my front side lights. Im a bit reluctant to remove then as I think they are sealed on?? Is it best just to remove & clean or what?
Any ideas would be great.

Thanks
Steve

Its a 3rd gen I have.
How do you mean taking out the whole assy.?
I thought I would have to just remove the screw at the side of each light, the clean it. Obviously this would mean breaking the seal. Any ideas?

Steve, do you mean cleaning the inside of the lense? If you are then yes I think you will have to crack open the lights.

I think they are only held with a sticky foam pad type stuff.

Hi Steve ,

l removed mine when l first brought the car and they were dirty and misted up , l poured washing up liquid in them and rinsed under a hot tap then left them to dry on a radiator indoors for a day , been fine since.

Hope this helps

Did you remove the whole unit and do that or just removed the glass?
If it was just the glass you removed how did you re-attache them to the car, inc. the seal?
