Post by: rotary_rogers on October 07, 2004, 11:39:35 PM
hey guys im new on here just bought my first rx7, its a gen 2 non-turbo that i payed 100 pounds for. the reason it is so cheap is because it has failed MOT on the sils and rear arches being rusted through. the interior is in mint condition and the engine runs very nicely its a completely stock car. however on the warning light dash the coolant low check light goes on adn off whilct driving. have checked coolant level and it is ok, has any one had problems with the sensors or anything. any help would be great

thanks louis.

Check the sensor that goes into the top of the radiator.  Easier to check if you remove the air intake. (Couple of bolts if I recall)
Once checked, open the water filler cap (Situated above the belts) and fill.  Leave open and start the engine (From cold) top up as nessecary (if it goes down) once level remains steady replace cap.

 Have fun!:wave

Does sound like a dodge sensor but always best to get it checked out if it persists.

There are a few members in and around Cambridge now, i feel a Cambrdige meet coming on.
