Title: Which pipe for dump valve.....
Post by: Adam on October 05, 2004, 09:42:09 PM
Right... i\'m about to get the flange welded on for my HKS dump valve but was wondering which pipe on the intercooler would be best to weld to.  In the picture below i have numbered the pipes.  Pipe 1 would be best due to space, but does it have to be near the turbo....  Any advice would be great.

Cheers

Adam, the dump valve can go on either pipe. I have mine on the silver pipe from the turbo.

Most dump valves have a pipe that requires a vacuum feed. So pipe 2 would be better.

In my experience the closer to the throttle body the better, prevents overboosting the intercooler on over run (theoreticaly!).

As close to the throttle plates as poss I think is meant to be best I believe?
