Title: N2O in an Egi
Post by: Brett on October 05, 2004, 10:34:02 AM
Anyone here done this?  Or know of any links to places that have?

I\'m kinda convinced now that I will go ECU, then N2O.

I was thinking of doing around 30-50bhp increase? I know you get better results with a firced induction engine, but it cant be bad on N/A though!

What does it do to engine life?

And should I really have posted this in the Tuning section?

 Anyone?

I know someone that put it on a Pug 205 Mi16, he recently wiped the smile off a Scooby drivers face at the Pod (sorry Si, but it\'s true)

And yes it will kill you motor a lot quicker than without it, but being a non turbo car it should still last longer than mine anyway. It dosn\'t matter what mods you do to a motor, extra performance = extra strain that the motor wasn\'t designed for = premature scrapping!

So as with any mod, do so at your own risk:cool
But have fun doing it

Just what I was thinking :D

I only do around 3000miles a year in the Egi anyway, but it\'ll be worth it on the motorway @ WOT with a BMW up my arse...

Thats what I like doing ...... playing with mercs, BMW\'s, jag\'s etc on the Mway\'s.

You see, they give me stick all week when I\'m driving my 44 tonne truck, so I give em hell at the weekends(http://www.avlsweb.co.uk/forum/images/smiles/icon_twisted.gif)

I know what you mean, theres something about the sight of a 16y/o 1.3ltr car pulling away from them that just does something to a BMW drivers frame of mind.....  :rollin

Shocking though it is, I think Si is right...

A friend of mine has one and I can just about edge him in the Egi, but I have to wring it out in the first 4 gears to do so (I mean hanging on to around 7500rpm... )
