Post by: Rixio on September 30, 2004, 11:52:56 AM
yo

just a quik q...iv got a fair bit of rattling and squeeking from the back end on the car the engine and parts are mechanically fine (when it was checkd b4 it got nickd) but from the rear boot area theres a lot of sounds just wondering has ne1 else had same problems in the past witt their cars. i tried deadening the sound by cutting out some old carpet and putting it under the original carpet in the boot it did help but theres still a fair bit of sound from that end. any1 know of ne normal things to check??

thanks

£75 each fitted. They arent very pleasant to do, Max  was going to do his at his coach firms workshop but got scared off very quickly! Geff\'s been putting off fitting a couple of the FEED 18-piece solid bush kits for a while now :rollin

Are they hydraulically pressed into position?

Not crashed it yet then Pog? :D I actually said to geff that yours felt good, lots of them dont from experience!

Don - yes, they are pressed in.

Rixio, have you tried playing about with the latch for the tailgate? one of the the annoying squirrel/hamster squeeks can come from there. I know Henning adjusted his so it was border-line a bit stiff to shut - but no more squirrels over every small bump in the road...

GT wings are another culprit :( Yuck! Some of them vibrate and suqeek REALLY bad. Good luck.

yeh i have a gt wing but its really secure i dont think its that making the noise iv checkd bushes they fine the latch cover and boot lid cover are knocky though and not properly fixd some of the poppers r duff. i thought kud b the spare but its secure and snug! also does ne1 know how to fix the centre console down properly cos when they put the fog wirings they always leave it loose!
