Anyone else got one of these. If so could you possibly answer the following:
I think it can be used as follows:
Auto \'S\' and \'D\' are straight forward.
Assuming with \'HOLD\' on.
L = 1st
S = 2nd
D = 3rd
However for control on cornering if you are in \'S\' and are approaching a roundabout can you press \'HOLD\' to drop it into 2nd and likewise \'D\' into 3rd assuming speed/revs are ok. Can this be done without damaging anything or is it recommended that you either drive with \'HOLD\' on and use L-D or just leave it in \'S\' or \'D\'.
Hope someone other than me understands what i am asking.
Cheers Guys

Hi,
yeah I understand what you\'re saying - I have a auto as well.
I can see no problem doing what you suggest.
I used to think the hold button was a "shift down" button! Only trouble is when overtaking using the hold to shift down, you should release it before taking your foot off the throttle otherwise you will suffer rapid decelaration - ie the gears will slow down in line with your enging revs. The same will apply when cornering so beware.
Having said that I am currently having g\'box problems so maybe it\'s just that. Brian Ellis seems to be very knowledgeable on auto\'s so maybe you should wait to hear from him!!!
Cheers
