My sunroof seems to be sticking on the one side, it\'s as though there is a latch on the offside that won\'t release, and so stops that side from opening.
You end up with a wonky sunroof that wont open fully!
I\'ve just had a quick look at how to remove the roof panel, but it seems that I have to remove the whole roof lining to get to a panel on the inside of the car that is the size of the entire roof panel!!
Is this right? Seems like a very big job!
If anyone has already done this, I would gladly accept their input before it starts to rain:(

I had to change the sunroof on my EGi, and yes getting at it is a complete bitch. Having said that the roof lining does come out fairly easily and we got my whole roof out and swapped over/realigned in about 2hours.
Is your roof still sealing when its down? If so I\'d leave it until next year when you\'ve got a patch of rain free weather...
Too late I\'m afraid, I\'ve just ripped out the rubber seal!
Now I can\'t get it back on until the roof is working again, D\'oh!
But I have noticed that something that looks like a spring slides on one side of the roof, but it stays still on the broken side. I assume this is my problem!

thats why i dont fancy taking the panel out of mine just yet - its supposed to be a really bad job to do :)
You\'d be better off buying a complete 2nd hand sunroof (whole thing including motor etc) and doing a swap (stu).

I have complete sunroof running frame plus motor. worked fine when taken off my crashed egi. sold the exterior panel, though. If interested pm me.
All sorted now chaps and chapettes!
The only bit I\'m faced with now is trying to put the headlining back the way I found it:confused:
