temp shoot up. pulled over water every where, phoned girlfriend
she towed me home in her metro. gen 3 import 94/95 anyone please help.
bit obvious but checked for blown pipes or coolant filler cap rubber cracked?

not looking good car being recovered tommorrow. i jacked car up and topped up coolent, while cold no leak as she warmed up coolant everywhere, mainly all over rad. at same time as it empted itself engine revs went slightly up.
going to good mechanic but not sure if he is up on rotarys
any help appreciated thanks.

Similar thing happened to me after the first week of owning my car. (Temp increase , buzzer + coolant loss).
My car went straight back to garage - a coolant pressure check was done and results showed that the radiator was 60% blocked and I had a small harline crack in one of the rubber coolant pipes which was highlighted under pressure.
Garage is fitting a brand new radiator + replacing the pipes - hopefully that will have sorted me out - hopefully your problem is a straight forward as this.

if by anychance ive only blown the rad, where could i get a new one from, and any idea of price,and how long it would take. had to hire at moment due to my own bussiness, and this could end up very expensive judging on reading how long some of the other members cars seam to be off the road for.
please advise if poss

buy a 300.00 crapmobile 3rd party ins as a back up.i drive my mondeo boring mobile total running cost 170ins and tax for year and keep rx for fun.they dont seem to be daily drivers

Clive, if he is a good mech he will know where to get your Rad recored, but it is rare for these Rads to split.
Because of where you are saying it\'s leaking, check the AST tank
( C in the pic l supplied ) as there is a pipe that runs off to the water tank on the inner wing that chaffs and leaks onto the Rad, also check the AST tank itself as they split around the seam.
If the Rad has to come out this link will help as there are a couple of nuts that hide !!

rad split at top mechanic said that mazda have one on the shelf
and can deliver tommorrow this simply amazed me after the trouble i had getting any parts for my zx300TT. he is fitting tommorrow night then going to represure check the system, im sure this will not be the only fault (engine)!!!
