Title: Miss at low revs??
Post by: Gman on September 23, 2004, 05:43:00 PM
Between 1000 to 3000 rpm my TII has a slight miss that make town driving a real pain, what could this be?.  Once out on the open road its fine smooth as anything.

I have changed the plugs and the leads are in good nick, i think it has been ported also.

A simple solution would be to drive round towns using high revs but its so dam loud I would get nicked pretty quick.

Hi Graham,
How does she idle? When she does it again, keep an eye on the boost guage. If your ecu has been remapped, and she idles at 20"hg, when driving as the vaccum passes this point there may be a dip in the fuel map which is there to keep a good idle.
If not, have a look at getting yours primary injectors checked and cleaned.

She idles slightly low at times, but doesn\'t bounce or anything.

Let us know when that hesitation happens...ie what vaccum point.
