Title: Brake fluid, how much? & worth painting discs?
Post by: scooby_si on September 23, 2004, 07:01:52 AM
Gonna get me some new brakes fitted & i was just wanting to check how much fluid the FD takes to fully flush the system out as i still have just over 1.5 litres of nice Lucas dot 5.1 stuff.....
Also is it worth painting the centre bits of the discs before they go on car & end up going rusty or is it just shyte discs which do that...?
Any good?(http://mindscraps.com/s/contrib/Bizkit/ponder.gif)

Funny, it can take about 1.5 litres to flush a brake system out. ;)

As for painting the discs, why not. They get covered in brake dust, which depending on the pads to use might just come off the paint.
