Hi mate,

sweet motor, a GT wing will complte the car IMHO.  Can i ask where did you get the flush bonnet pins from?

Cheers

Hi mate,

Thanks for the comment,

Never been a fan of the gt wing on an FD. I know what you mean as it would give it a more aggresive look but I prefer something that keeps the nice smooth lines..

The bonnet pins came with the bonnet, if you contact John (jetpilot) he might be able to help you.

Cheers

Is it carbon fibre...the bonnet?

If not, i think i would paint it red, if it is, then leave it......of course all IMHO :)

Dan!!

Its not carbon fibre unfortunatley. I was originally going to paint it red as im getting the whole car resprayed, but the more i look at it (and thats quite a lot! :p ) the more i think it looks nice with a black bonnet...

If they\'re the locking flush pins then you are after the "GE66" Grayston bonnet locking pins which i think you can only buy from (or at least only place i could find) http://www.speedshack.co.uk (http://www.speedshack.co.uk)  & can be seen on http://www.graystonengineering.com/lock%20assembled%20main.htm (http://www.graystonengineering.com/lock%20assembled%20main.htm)
Quick google you maybe able to get from http://www.ears.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Boot___Bonnet_Springs___Fasteners_87.html (http://www.ears.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Boot___Bonnet_Springs___Fasteners_87.html)  also

If your paint job is gonna be any thing like Si\'s then leave it black bro!!!

You been smilied too:(   So sorry you had to go through thiis:(

However i reckon the black sticks out too much perhaps a different shade of something??? then again if you tinted your windows black it would look well smart??

What you think?

Cheers Nath,

The idea of keeping the bonnet black is becoming more and more appealing... I have got a month or so to decide before i get it painted so i will probably changed my mind about ten times!

Its a Re Amemyia front bumper.

Hi Mate,

Think i will be keeping it black for a while as i need to save the pennies to get the rest of the car sprayed. I will see then..

I do like the silver and black that looks cool...

Seems to be more and more FD\'s running around scotland, i have seen a blue one running around edinburgh, not had a chance to speak to the guy yet...

My girlfriend wants me to paint the whole thing black. What you want and what you get are two entirly different things...;)

So how about a poll then?

a) paint it black
b) nah, red or dead baby!
c) dont care, never want to see that feckin car gain unless Bob or Rob tear the stereo out of it first, or Donato stays overnight \'off campus\' next year...

Don,
A lot depends on how much you want to stand out,  a black bonnet is Very noticable and you will spotted a mile off. If you dont like too much attention then paint it.

It will look good either way!

Hi Freddy,

To be honest i don\'t know how to tell the difference.

It took a little while to get it to fit right, i still have a little adjusting to do but all in all it seems to fit nicely.

Cheers

I think the car looks better with a red bonnet, if you want to change the colour but are worried about there being a different colour under the bonnet you could get under the hood painted black.

Paint it red. Bonnets look ok a different colour when they are CF, but i think a bit tacky up close when it just painted. IMO.

Also \'quick and dirty\' I\'m afraid - does it help?  Tell her you can\'t paint it black - you\'d have to take it to bits again.
