Just got into work this morning and there\'s white steam/smoke pouring out from under the bonnet combined with a strong smell of antifreeze... The gauges were fine all of the way in and didn\'t register any problems but when I opened the bonnet there were small pools of antifreeze sitting beneath the strut brace.
Can\'t see any obvious signs of a pipe thats come off although did find a pipe that seemed loose just infront of where the antifreeze was. Do you think this may be the cause or should I be looking for something else? Any ideas what could cause it to suddenly go like that?
Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks
Sounds like it could be the cause, if not you might have a split pipe.
The only way would be to pop the bonnet and wath for the steam.

Once the engine has cooled down, refill the system and restart with bonnet up. Get someone to rev to the engine for you whilst you look for water being squirted out under pressure. (Assuming its a split hose)
Thanks for all of the help. We\'ve found the problem now. Turned out to be pinhole sized leak in one of the hoses. Unfortunately the damaged hose was right in the middle of the engine bay so we had to dismantle pretty much everything to find it but hopefully it\'ll all work okay now.
