Just took delivery of a shiny new turbo timer which is considerably smaller than i expected. Was hoping to install it in the double din bin below my stereo. I\'ve seen a few with a similar set up. What did you use to fill the space and make it a tight flush fit.
Suggestions and/or any help would be appreciated

I have a metal plate in my 2nd DIN slot which has the turbo timer and boost guage in. Don\'t know if it\'s just a blanking plate that has been cut or something which was made specifically.
Plate has an \'arm\' on each side (angled out) which keeps the whole thing from falling out.
Don\'t know much more as was in car when bought.
Anyone actually fitted their turbo timer themselves, if so is it a fairly straight forward job?
not fitted 1 but jsut took mines out lol there are 2 wiers under the dash that it jsut plugs into
2 wires is that it? The one i have has like 5 wires and 2 harnesses.
Ori, Have you got the wiring harness for your timer? What make did you go for?
I\'ve still got my Apexi timer and the harness wiring to go in, was holding off doing it until the PFC was installed. With the harness it should be an easy job. My only concern is that the immobiliser is wired in too close to the ignition barrel/switch so I can;t get the timer in before it. Will find out soon enough I guess.
could someone post up how to get the trim off the top of the transmission tunnel? (for wiring the timer to the handbrake) I presume it\'s like the rest of the car and is just clips, but it\'s always easier if you know where the clips are!

Hey Gregor
I went for the Greddy full auto timer came with the harness and japanese instructions but i managed to d/l the instruction in english :D
In which case I would guess you have a wire or two to direct at your ECU, one for the handbrake cable and the harness will insert itself into the wiring under the dash to allow you to plug the timer in and not have to harwire it.

Not exectly there is a further additional harness that can be bought. It looks to me that i still gotta hard wire 5 wires 3 to the ignition and 1 to hand brake and 1 one to speed harness?
Dunno if that makes much sense.
