I have no balance pipe from the down pipe onwards. Mazda wont supply first section unless whole new down pipe is bought because they are integrally connected. Of course this costs shedloads of money and agro changing downpipe. I would like advice from anyone who has modified their exhaust in this area i.e. a custom balance pipe fitted or effect of blocking off air hole completely or leaving as is.

I\'d buy a complete aftermarket system now, and I\'m willing to bet a full stainless system will cost you less that the mazda downpipe....
Try a racing beat or a Janspeed system. Also talk to WGT et al. Its not too hard to get a complete system. That way you can bin the thermal reactor and air pump.
