Picked up this unwanted guest this morning. D\'oh!
I blame the RSPB.....
You managed to pull a bird with your RX7 then!
(oh thats a crap joke!!)
Hope it never caused to much damage to the bumper, other than it needing a respray.
It IS a good car for picking up the birds I\'ll agree with you there!! lol
I only had it resprayed a couple of months ago - so it is a bit of a bummer. Need a new indicator unit also. One of them thar fancy smoked ones!
Not looking forward to picking out the remains of the bird from the car when I get home from work yech!
Another angle shows th eextent of the paint damage = $$$$$
I know it\'s not really funny and I apologise, but I can\'t help laughing about how the paint seems to have come off in an almost perfect bird-wing pattern on one side. You must have really hit that poor little bugger at some speed.
Well the roads were totally empty and it was 5 in the morning.
130 I think it was (after some heavy braking), or imagine what the damage would of been!!!
Oh well back to the body shop - should get a frequent user discount!

Is the bird OK?? Must have been a bit dazed...
There were two of them see - one went left - one went right. Got them both, but hung onto the one that went left.
All this happened with my eyes shut!! Heard the two "thuds" though - ha ha
Bit of mouth to mouth, and cpr and it was right as rain.

I hope it doesn\'t set you back too much :(
Just got back from the bodyshop.
300 yoyo\'s for the whole front nose incl splitter. He\'s going to rub it all down and primer in black. (those frikin stonechips always come up as white spots).
Just about what I figured. So not too miffed.
Mind you trying to get hold of those nice smoked replacement indicator/side light units is going to be a pain - Geoff @reworx has sold out. The next batch may be a while......
Would he take wildfowl casserole as part payment?
btw - I\'ve just noticed....
YOUR CAR IS SECRETLY PINK!!!!!
Damn!!
I thought I\'d got away with that one!
Yes I know - somebody obviously had the nose replaced hence it\'s looking pink after the white primer.
Soon be covered up again. Back to the BEST colour for a 3rd gen Montego Blue!!
Let\'s not mention it EVER again.... right?!!
