Title: TEIN Type HA Coilovers - what settings?
Post by: peccy on September 02, 2004, 11:31:38 AM
my new rex as the TEIN Type HA gas coilovers fitted, but is set real hard! so want to soften and maybe highten the ride a little, anyone know what settings i should run, or just keep tweaking them until it feels ok.

not sure what im doing and dont want to make the handling unsafe etc.

any people / places up Sheffield area could help me set the ride up?

cheers, peccy.

cheers,

been having a play and phoned TEIN UK for some advice also, i turned the hex bolt all way clockwise for the stiffest setting, then counted 16 clicks back anti-clockwise, (there is 20 settings all together)

did this for front and back, although the fronts didnt have the rubber hex bolt screwed on, so just used a hex key.

ride is know a bit softer, think i may need to hieghten a few mm though also.

Let me know how you go mate just having a play with mine kinda thing now. Pip described them as harder than his race car but he said that about the last ones & they were even harder thing that Stacey musta gone for the cruise setting (http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/contrib/ed/laughpf.gif) lol only kidding they are a bit solid to say the least & maybe just the springs they have on but likewise i have gota play with the dampness setting....
Are you things on top rubber then mine are metal hex thingies & i lost one & had to get replacement from Tein uk (via re:worx) & this was metallic also....?
Cheers
