Hi all,
I\'m looking at the Rays Volk Racing GT-C Face 2 wheels (http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/cgi-bin/cgi2/english/getWheelItem.cgi?maker=VOLK&model=210_GTC2), and I have a few questions: -
1) It lists the following attachments: -
* Valvestem <-- you mean they don\'t come with any?
* Hub Ring <-- what is this?
* C Nut <-- what is this?
* Specific Wrench <-- specific to what?
2) Quite a few offsets are listed (http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/cgi-bin/cgi2/english/sizeGuide.cgi?modelName=GTC2), they recommend column A for RX-7\'s. Bear in mind I want the rears to have a deeper rim than the front (ideally double) what would be the most suitable offsets for FRONT 18x8.0J and REAR 18x9.0J?
Thanks
Chris.
Paging Max, Could Max Taylor please reply to this.
I think he already has these rims.
Fish
my guess
C Nut = Centre nut (trim type part in the centre)
presume the wrench is specific to the centre nut
I seem to recall these wheels needing special valves, hence the valve stems included.
The Hub ring is probably somthing to do with adapting the centre bore of the wheels to fit the hub of the FD (the yanks are always going on about lug centric and hub centric wheels) but basically its to help centre the wheel on the hub.
I was worried for a while there Fish!
Not mine fortunately, I have the GT-7\'s. And under no circumstances is anyone allowed to mimic my fine taste ;)
I would recommend offset +45 front and rear (or slightly more), fits a treat :)
I have +43 which does fit, fine on the front but only just on the back.

Thanks for the info.
This whole wheel business confuses me; Rays say the offsets in column A match big calipers on the RX-7, but the largest offset for 8.0J (front) is only +29, which is way off the recommended +45.
However, there is a +44 in column C, but Rays say these offsets have little caliper/hub ring clearence so be careful >sigh<
At the end of the day, I do not trust myself to specify which wheel specifications will fit my car :( So I\'ll have to leave it until I can find somewhere that can tell me for sure.
Contact Shin at Prospec (sorry I don\'t have his number to hand). I ordered my rims through him and they included valves and caps. He\'s an agent for Rays stuff.
Thanks for the heads up, I\'ll add them to my list!
Chris, the offset of 29 will probably fit on the FD although the wheels will stick out towards/beyond the arches by 2cm more than the stock wheels. I don\'t think that much would protrude from the arches enough to fail an MOT but you could measure it to be sure. The lower the offset; the less of the wheel that extends inwards.
This might help you handy explanation of wheel fitments (http://www.tyresave.co.uk/fitments.html#TECH)
Doubt it would do much damage to handling but you might find that because these will stick out more, they may catch the arches when you turn at full lock if you put fat tyres on them.
I am guessing that these have low offsets because of the design of the spokes and the extra space is needed to clear the calipers.
I\'m no expert though so my advice is taken at your peril.
Hope it\'s useful though.
P.S. - why you want to change your wheels. The ones you have on the car now are stuning!?!?
Thanks, for that good info, nice clear diagrams - that\'s what I like :)
As to why I am going to change them; a few reasons: -
* Style. I am currently running 17\'s with a 10cm-ish tyre wall. Quite simply I think 18\'s with a smaller tyre wall (thus keeping the overall whell size the same) would look much better :)
* Style. (again!) I would prefer gunmetal rather than shiny bright chrome, just my preference at this time :)
* Style. I would prefer split rims, another personal preference.
Now, because the only reasons I could find were style, I have decided to not change my wheels, yet. I will coincide the wheel change with the addition of a wide body kit, so getting large positive offsets shouldn\'t cause any problems :)
Also, I\'ll get a professional to sort it all, thus I can\'t fduk it up!
Thanks all.
Chris.
After talking with Shin at ProSpec (thanks for the heads up Initial-D, he seems to know his business :) ) I have settled on the following sizes: -
Front 18 x 9.0J with +36 offset and a 55mm rim.
Rear 18 x 10.0J with +37 offset and a 67mm rim.
I am awaiting confirmation from him on these. In the mean time, what tyre widths are good for these size wheels?
I am guessing: -
Front 255 x 35
Rear 275 x 30
I worked out the profiles to keep the total wheel diameter the same as my current setup (Front 17 235x45 and Rear 17 255x40). Well almost the same, the fronts will be smaller by 7.6mm and the rear will be smaller by 13.6mm, shame they don\'t do 36.49 and 32.47 profiles!
Don\'t forget I\'ll have wider arches (25mm front and 20mm rear) :)
Any thoughts?
Plus here\'s some eye candy...

It might do...
Your suspension geometry assumes the centre line of the wheel is in a certain spot. (That is, the car\'s track width is a certain amount.) The travel in the setup is then designed to make sure the wheels go up and down more than they curve in and out when moving around that certain spot. (Think of Bond\'s Lotus when the wheels are folding in...)
If you move that spot away/towards the centre of the car then your camber and castor will go all to cock affecting handling and tyre wear. If you put a wider track on the vehicle (ie use bigger positive offset) then you\'re also increasing the leverage on the hubs and everything else when you lean on the wheels in corners, which isn\'t a good thing either.
18s will look better, and you\'ll get better handling (and steering feedback) ON FLAT TARMAC, but at the cost of increased NVH and more bump steer. I\'d never go below /45 personally because I enjoy my B-roads too much.
(Plus to put /35s on mine I\'d need 19" rims which is just far too much money. :D )
If you already have wider arches should of got a lower offset than that??? Unless you are going to put spacers on when you get the arches?
Run the same size tyres as now ie 235/255. 255 on the front gives a horrid balance.
Lee
The FEED RX7 with wide arch kit front and rear runs:
Front 18x9.5, offset +24
Rear 18x9.5, offset +24 with 20 or 25mm spacers
Not sure how your offsets will effect things? Suck it and see I guess. As Lee says I think less of an offset would be better?
zevans : the British roads debate did come up and I all too briefly thought about it and dismissed a cushioned ride in favour of looks (how silly of me!), Ideally I would not want to drop below 35%...
Lee : yeah, handling was in the back of my mind, I\'d read (I think from Rextreme) that FEED run 255\'s all round, so I thought if it\'s good enough for them :)
Rich : just worked out that my fronts would stick out 18.35mm less than FEEDs setup and my rears would be 6.65mm less. I will talk to Shin again and see what he can recommend to be as close to FEEDs setup as possible considering the GT-C\'s don\'t come in 9.5\'s :(
I am slightly confused as to which tyres can fit which size wheels though.
Will keep you all informed (I\'m sure you can\'t wait!).
Seriously you are in a no win situation at the moment.
Specify wheels for the wide arch kit and they might not fit now (they will go on but may rub or stick out a bit far). Specify wheels for the car now and it will look crap when you get the wide arches unless you use a massive (like 25mm or something) spacer.
You need to make up your mind, or if it was me wait untill I had the arches sorted and then get wheels from it as the arches could be a tough job?
You could run 255 all round if you wanted fit wise. Put your rears on the front and see if you like it first ;)
Lee
The wheels will go on at the same time as the arches :)
Thing is, I have no idea what my current wheel offsets are :(
Am awaiting reply from Shin...

Take them off and look for the size inside them. It normally says, though I have a couple which dont.
Even so, your current wheels wont be as good with the wide arch kit as youll have more arch to fill.
I\'m looking at the Feed arches too as my offset is +18 on the front 18x9s and +22 on the rear 18x10s - hoping the wheels won\'t rub on those beauties!;)
Where you buying your arches from? As maybe we could try and get a discount. I can let you know how my wheels fit once I get them too.
Looking on the Feed site I think I have the largest offset that the arches can accomadate so fingers crossed they\'ll be okay and need no modifications for harsh cornering.
Hi,
I\'m getting the kit through Geff at RE:Worx, I\'ve already placed the order but what I\'ve heard of FEED, discounts for bulk aren\'t common  Guess they have a business to run :(
I assume you are looking at this FEED
site (translated :) )
I\'m not sure what "with main point processing + 24 - + 22" means on the front arches...
Using their recommendations, your fronts will stick out 10.65mm more than the FEED recommendations (assuming +35 FEED offset), with your rears being 8.35mm wider (with +24 FEED offset). From what I\'ve seen (http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7782) your wheels are quite wide anyway so they may just fit right in :)
Hi ho,
latest spec is: -
FRONT Volk GT-C Face 1 18x9.0J +18 offset and 73mm rim
REAR Volk GT-C Face 2 18x10.0J +11 offset and 80mm rim
or
REAR Volk GT-C Face 2 18x10.0J +5 offset and 105mm rim if it fits.
This will put me as nears as damnit to FEED\'s setup (F +0.35mm and rear -5.65mm or +0.35mm) but without running with spacers :)
Sorry Ben I worked out your spec wrong (compared to FEED\'s), should have been: -
FRONT +0.35mm
REAR -16.65mm <-- this is so big (relatively - we\'re talking mm\'s here!) because FEED run with a 25mm spacer on the rear. Depends if you want to run 1.6cm less with your current setup or +0.8cm with a spacer.
Have you ordered anything yet?
Chris.
Christ on a bike, I\'m keeping my 17s - this is all too confusing!!
Hehe, tell me about it! But I _have_ learned how to calculate all this stuff myself now :)
Wheels won\'t be over here till December though :(
Good job I ordered the spacers with the wide body kit as I\'ll have to run my current wheels for a couple of months :(
Well, I have to say, if you\'re going for looks...
...they look bloody good!
Cheers Chris thats most helpful, looks like I\'ll run spacers on the rear so I have maximum arch filled!
I havent ordered anything yet as I\'m in about three minds at the moment as to what to go for.
Feed, Chargespeed, RE Amemiya GT or 02 widebody.
Doing my head in at the moment!
Also the rear quarters can be flared out alot so I don\'t even need a rear arch kit I\'ve been told - so I\'m still left with a choice on front fenders!
FEED kit below (a nice example which has a scoot hood like myself - check out that colour Chris, it could be yours!!
Chargespeed front fender
Re Amemiya wide body 02 kit:
RE Amemiya AD GT kit:
Ideally I want it to go with the FEED type 2 nose and standard rear end, possibly even my R-magic sideskirts.
Any suggestions or ideas weclome! (may be I should do a poll)?
I\'m leaning towards the Chargespeed at the moment as its different and very similar to the Border fenders. I\'d then have the rear arches flared out lots to get my rims inside!
That\'s a great shot of the FEED wide body kit :) Gives me a better idea of how it will look.
It came down to the RE-Amemiya AD and FEED kits for me. I didn\'t like the way the RE-Amemiya 02 kit looked from behind and I think I am hugely FEED biased anyway :)
As my wheels are not going to arrive until mid December :( I have decided to not fit the kit with my current wheels on as I;d have to buy expensive spacers (£390!) for 2 months of usage. So it won\'t be done until next year now :( but it\'ll be worth the wait.
I don\'t mind you running with Chargespeed, it makes my car a bit more unique :p
Found a few more shots of that FEED kitted car and it looks very nice - tis swinging me towards the FEED kit so I think we\'ll have to start a FEED fan UK club!
I like the front fenders alot especially the way they\'ve been adjusted into a smooth lip insted of the vertical band on the originals.:cool
Sorry Chris - looks like I may get the Feed kit now due to the front wheel offsets mainly, the Chargespeed doesn\'t contain the offset within the arches and the RE Amemiya AD kit just doesn\'t look as nice as the contoured Feed kit... Check those curves!! ;)
Side, are they the same wheels your after by chance..? :D
Rear view
and a full side view - a really nice kit (one of the nicest I feel). Sorry to hear you have to wait until next year but at least you\'ll have something to keep you occupied over those winter months eh!!:D
Oooo that does look good!
Don\'t worry about it, we can start our own FEED camp :)
And those are the wheels I have on order (albeit in gunmetal) - freaky coincidence!
If you phone Geff early Monday, you _might_ be able to catch him before the order is finalised, tell him I sent you his way :)
I\'ll give Geff a shout on Monday to see what his prices are like - I may order directly from abroad and pray I can avoid customs... ;) :D
After trying to squeeze blood from a stone (get an answer from Rays through Prospec whether the wheels I have specified will fit) and threatening to cancel my order, they finally got back to me and said: -
"We cannot guarantee your wheels will fit and if they don\'t - tough."
Great, wasted 2 months much? I obviously cannot risk buying these wheels and not having a guarantee from someone that they will fit, so I have had to cancel the order. Bunch of @rse.
My choices remaining: -
* find someone in the UK who CAN tell me if the wheels will fit and they can order the Rays and provide a guarantee.
* find some other wheels.
* wheel spacers. <-- most likely.
Did I already say bunch of @rse?
Just specify what you think will fit.
If they dont fit, try running stretched tyres a bit. If they still dont fit, make them fit and the car will look all the better for it :D
No one is going to gaurantee a wheel is going to fit I wouldnt of thought when its down to you to specify the size you need.
Tough sounds a bit harsh though, but most these wheels are actually made to order as youll probably find out if you do order them.
Lee
Bugger! Sorry to hear that mate.:(
When I ordered mine I had a similar thing although not as direct! Basically if you order anything but the recommended sizes as listed in the Rays specs your on your own.
I took a risk and now I\'m having the arches made bigger to accomadate! Which although costing a bit more gives me a reason to have a wide body kit! Plus I\'m still well chuffed with the rims.
I thought you had worked out the offsets and also Feed gave the offset range which you could use with their kit?? I\'d probably stick with the order myself as I\'m sure you\'ll be pleased once their on the car. They would be made to order aswell, one reason why they take so long!! Also why there non returnable!!
What you donig with ya Feed bits if you don\'t get em... I\'ll have em! my address is 10..... lol! :rollin

And look how awesome the front arches are now because you wanted to make them fit properly :)
I think your size (what was it +22 offset) would of been ok if the suspension and tyre size was right.
I just put my 9 inch +20 onto the S14 (for all of a couple of days). With the 255\'s they had on they rubbed. Changed to a 235, and they were fine. I wanted to run 225\'s but I didnt have any.
That doesnt help Chris if he is adament on 275, but imho thats too big.
My rims where 18 x 9J + 18 front and 18 x 10J +22 on the back with 235/40 front and 275/35 rear tyres.
If I\'d gone for smaller tyres they may of just cleared the arches, more so if I\'d adjusted the camber.
Sounds cool Lee, putting your FD wheels onto your 200! Get some mad stretched tires on there with lots of camber!!;) Good round corners just no traction in straight lines lol!
Hi guys,
it\'s only the offsets that I\'m worried about, I calculated them myself because no one would do it for me but Rays and FEED have/can not confirm they will fit.
Basically I need a garage who does this sort of thing to tell me the spec I need, and if they don\'t fit they will deal with all the hassle.
FRONT 18x9.0J +18 with 245x35%
REAR 18x10.0J +5 (ideal) or +18 with 265x35%
I came around to your thinking Lee, 255 front and 275 rear was too big ;)
Without a guarantee I can\'t risk it.
I\'ll go with spacers now, so I can get that FEED kit on ASAP, so hands off Ben :p
Thanks for all the help guys.
Lol!
Glad that\'s sorted then!!
I never quite got the hang of working out the offsets So looked at Imamuras FD spec and thought hmm... they look like nice rims, they fit his car... I\'ll go for whatever he\'s having lol!!:rollin

I was going to say fit the kit. Run spacers untill you find what your happy with, and then order the wheels to replicate the offset taking into accoutn the spacer.
If need be, your welcome to fit some of my wheels at an event or something to see if they go onto the kit ;)
Ben - The +20 rims are off a Skybus actually, but I have put them on the FD before. Had a bit of rub, but if I used the 225 tyres I should of run then it probably would of fit. When I put the normal wheels back on (same wheel, Volk CV Pro 9 inch, just a different offset) I thought the car looked lame untill I got used to it again!

Yeah it took me ages but I had to get the hang of it cause TNS are the Driftworks Offset Police :rollin
I saw it summed up quite simply though. The lower the offset the better :D
Obviously go too low though and it doesnt fit!
Yep can be worring looking out the wing mirror to see tyres outside the edges of the car!
Does look best if you can fill out the arches although you gotta watch the rubbing on tight corners and country lanes!
Ben, need your help.
I see that your front would be exactly the same size as mine and the rear is the same apart from the fact that my offset will be +11 and yours is +22.
Do you think +11 will still clear the caliper? This is my main worry and the only thing holding me back now.
Do you have any close up shots of the rear wheel and caliper clearance?
Cheerz
Chris.
The difference between +11 and +22 would be the wheel sitting further out by 11mm.
I cant see how going out would cause any issues clearing the caliper as it should be further away unless Ive got mixed up somewhere along the lines.
Just means you need another 11mm arch clearance but then your going wide arch anyway.
Lee
Hi Chris, like Lee said the offset relates to the amount of distance the rim is set off from the hub.
The wheels on the back do have less metal where they are attached to the hub compared to the front, but thats because their +22 and not +18 like the fronts. I\'m picking my car up tonight so I\'ll try to get in their with a ruler and measure the clearance! You won\'t have any probs I\'d of thought looking at the diference between +18 and +22.:D
Cheers Ben, will look forward to the ruler results :)
How much do your front and rears stick out over the original arches?
Ta
Chris.
Hi Chris, measured them this morning and they\'ve got 26mm between the rear caliper and inside of the rims (spokes closest point to the caliper). So you\'d have no worrys with clearance!
I\'m not entirly sure how much the wheels would stick out of standard arches as I\'d had them rolled and flarred a little before I got the wheels (not enough tho lol!). I would\'ve thought at least 20 - 30mm tho!!
Cheerz Ben, went over my calculations again last night, need to confirm what FEED are recommending though (it\'s a bit hard to tell from their site http://www.fujita-eng.com/fd3s/index.html) so I can be sure to get as close to that as possible.
Anyway, here it is so far: -
Edited the image with better wording, see new post.
Chris,
I dont understand the part labelled as your setup? Is that would you would like as I cant imagine rims having offsets of 26.85 and stuff.
The FEED recommendations look a bit weak to me too really, would of thought it would of been lower offsets than that.
Edit: The whole pics confusing me now! lol, change my mind again with this ill come back to it after lunch.
Yeah, it should have been labelled "my ideal setup" to get as close to FEED\'s recomendations as possible. In the real world I\'d get +30 for front and +18 for rears.
Hehe, yep it\'s confusing as hell!
Shin (Prospec) is going to chase Rays again and say: -
"This is the wide body kit he has, what rims does he need?"
Hope they cooperate more this time!
You\'ll need to swap the outside and inside as you have them the wrong way around.
Translation from Feed says:
Front fenders:
Recommendation wheel offset value + 35 (with main point processing + 24 - + 22) rim width 9.5J
Rear fenders:
One side 20mm wide. Recommendation wheel offset value + 24 - + 0. Rim width 9.5J
So I woulda thought anything between those values would be fine.
I woulda said run 18 x 9.5J all round with front offset at +22 and the rears at +0 according to Feed.
Or run 18 x 9J on the front with + 9 (equal to 18 x 9.5J with + 22 offset - but allow more clearance for turning the rims within the arch as I had a little rubbing on full lock with my 18 x 9\'s). Then run 18 x 10J with +13 on the rear (which would be the same as 18 x 9.5J with + 0 offset, but give you half an inch/13mm more grip).
Do you think that seems logical with what you\'ve learnt or have I worked that out completly wrong??
Oh.. or you could just wait to hear from Feed...;)
Ben, I\'m confused you think I have the inside and outside the wrong way around, if I have then I\'ve been doing things mucho wrong! :o
A positive offset means the bolt face is closer to the outside (front) of the rim?
So the higher the offset, the less a wheel will stick out.
The lower the offset, the more a wheel will stick out.
The GTC\'s don\'t come in 9.5 inches :(
Shin reckons "main point processing" means having to modify \'something\' with an offset between +24 and +22, although that doesn\'t make much sense, why only modify something with those offsets, what about offsets lower than that?
I think your offset calculations are off slightly. It looks like you are taking the difference in wheel sizes, (e.g. between 9.0 and 9.5 = 0.5 ~ 13mm) and applying that to the offset, where it should only be half that, as the offset works only in one half of the rim, and the extra 13mm would be split between both halves.
9.5" +0 offset = 10.0" -6.5 offset (approx)
Calculation: -
(((10 * 25.4) / 2) - ((9.5 * 25.4) / 2)) = -6.35 offset
That of course assumes I\'m calculating it correctly!
I\'ll wait for Rays to look at what FEED recommends so they can recommend a setup for me, which is what I\'d like them to have done in the first place! Feels like I\'m going round in circles!
Wish I could speak/read Japanese!
Ta for all your help.
Will keep you informed of progress (if any!)
The aim is to match FEED\'s recomendation as close as possible.
So I need to match the width of the rim that extends from the bolt face. (values in red ).
Because I do not have 9.5" rim sizes available I have to utilise the offset to make up the difference, with lower offset (values in blue ) pushing the rim out.

http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9340
Lol!! I thought I\'d grasped it!
Guess it\'s not quite that simple, just found this tho which explains a few things:
Offset is the distance from the wheel center to its mounting surface. To find offset, plug the rear wheel spacing and width into this formula:
Offset = Rear Spacing â€"_Total Wheel Width
2
If you have a "positive" offset, the mounting pad is in front (or outboard) of the rim centerline. This situation most commonly occurs on front-wheel-drive applications. To picture this more accurately, think of the convex design of many wheels found on front-drivers; the center of the wheel sticks out further than the edges of the wheel. If there\'s a "negative" offset, the mounting pad is behind (or inboard of) the rim centerline. This is typical for most standard rear-wheel-drive vehicles and "reversed" rims. Sometimes, this style is referred to as a "deep-dish" wheel.
For example, an 8-inch wide, 3-inch-rear spacing wheel would have a 1-inch negative offset. Conversely, if the same 8-inch wheel had a 5-inch rear spacing, it would then have a 1-inch positive offset. Finally, if the same wheel had a 4-inch rear spacing (which is exactly half its width) then the wheel would have what\'s known as a "zero offset."
In wheel-measurement designations, the diameter is listed first, followed by the width. A 16x7-inch wheel has a diameter of 16 inches and a width of 7 inches. Diameter is measured where the tire rests, not from lip to lip.
I know someone whose just got these and is making them fit (not on an FD) - thats the spirit though and it will be cool :)
That offset calculator is exactly what we need :) Nice find Lee, it\'s good that it confirms my calculations too :)
12" wide with a -3 offset, madness! You could have small dogs using them as treadmills! What car is that going on? And for what application? :cool
Im not sure what car, but I think an S14. Its still madness though and its going to be a fair bit of work.
My drift team are all kind of having width/offset wars at the moment with everyone trying to outdo each other. A few people running negative offsets now with wide rims. I think Pazza has 15x9 negative something on his corolla with a 185 tyre stretched onto a 9 inch rim. Pretty mad but looks very cool!
Glad the offset calculator helped as this thread going back and forth just started confusing me.
Lee
Yeah thanks Lee, I was getting pains in my brain trying to work this one out!
Hope you get ya rims soon Chris as they look loverly in the pics.
Work rims only seem to come in 12" widths!! On an S14, interesting.... are they running wider arches??
Not yet, but its going to have front and rear or its never going to work. Itll be done in Japan before the car is sent over.
Ive noticed a distinct lack of decent wheels in the UK.
They are all narrow like 7 inches with Nasty +50 offsets. Im sensing opportunity, but have no idea how to makes wheels :p
Hi Mate....dont know whether this is of interest to you..but i have a nice set of rims avail in the vendors parts for sale section.ultralites....really really nice rims and great quality...would be great to get some of you guys on to them as they r a really nice rim!And not many people have them on rx\'s yet!
Cheers Matthew
Dustbin lids and some sticky back plastic? I could even print some proper Volk stickers - no one know....;) :rollin
Final spec sorted and ordered, after Rays got back and their spec matched up with my calculated spec :)
FRONT Volk GT-C Face 1 18 x 9.0J +30 offset (61mm dish)
REAR Volk GT-C Face 2 18 x 9.0J +17 offset (61mm dish)
Plus 4 centre caps and 4 sets of locking wheel nuts.
.....and rest.....
Roll on January.
Well done mister - bet your glad thats sorted!
Good news for me too as Shin\'s got my wheel nuts and center caps aswell! Drinks all round lol!!:D
Hi Ben, Chris,
Sorry for make you waiting so long time.
Ben, I have got lock nuts and 2 centre caps somehow, and waiting for another 2 centre caps....
I will post what I have now at first in a few days.
Chris, 3 of wheels are ready to ship now, and waiting for last 1 wheel.
Please please do not ask me why Rays do such a way of business.....
Anyway, slowly but definetly things are getting sorted out.
Regards,
Shin
Thanks for the update, I thought they\'d gone missing in the post for a minute!
These look great in the metal. (more and bigger pics in the members ride section). If they don\'t fit then I\'ll make them fit!
Just saw this thread.
That kit is nice, I have seen a couple.
Now I know why the feed reference in the other thread.
The off sets you chose will be fine.
Remember if you want the car a bit lower the Feed +18 deal. you have to keep the car very high and they do stick out a tad.
I have the RE-Ad kit as you know. I have +40 front and +30 back with a small 5mm spacer on the front.
and i have a 30mm spacer on the rear. to get it almost right.
The front could have anther 5mm maybe.
The car is quite low and I dont get any rubbing on the guards.
I trimmed the rear guards but I havnt had to fare them and the original metal is still there. just fit under.
and it does affect the handling quite a lot with spacers. less inclined to poke out the rear. and changes the roll characteristic a little. I have 225/255 on 8.5/9.5 for almost zero sidewall flex which works well.
some eye candy.
ps, tHE TE37 i tried in my avtar<<<- were + 12 / and +15. with 255 front and 275 rear. No way would they fit. there was about 3mm clearance on the rears. and fronts were almost ok with high ride hight, would have changed the tyres but.
didnt end up getting them. They were from a GTR.
Russ.
This was the first guy to get the feed kit.

Hi Russ,

Without the wide arches on: -
.
youll have to get it a bit lower now
hehe.
hope they dont take too long.
are you going to trim the guards a lot?
I\'d like to lower it, that\'d be a nice excuse to upgrade my suspension; but my drive is too steep :(
I\'m hoping no trimming of the guards is needed...
I just had to trim the inside of the guards Ill take a pic.
