Title: Simple questions about the stock airbox
Post by: StreetPizza on August 28, 2004, 01:32:11 PM
There\'s a pipe coming from the airbox, one pipe all on its own on the (left as you sit in the car, right as you look at the airbox from the front of the car). The ARC \'box I just removed had no such pipe, and I can\'t see what it would have been attatched to. Obviously some tubing somewhere has been removed/tidied up. What would that pipe have connected to? Since it seems to blow air out rather than suck in, would it be particularly harmful to just let it vent straight out, or should I find a way to bung it, or reconnect it?

Cheers guys. I\'d be lost without you. :D :wave :cool

Nothing at all? That\'s weird... Ah well, that answers the first question at least. Is it safe to leave it unconnected and open to the air then?

Thanks.

That\'s cool. I thought it probably wasn\'t vital since the ARC box didn\'t have one at all. I tried to bung it anyway, just as a test, and the best I could manage was for it to make a rather cool squeaky hiss every time I let off the throttle. Cheap ass BOV effects :)
