What is the grey/black cylinder on the side of the plenum?

It is only electrically connected, not vacuum, so i need to know what it is and whether i still need it with the non sequential setup.

Regards

MAP sensor is a little black box about 1"-1.5" square that had a vacuum hose going to it - it was bolted to the little bracket on the bulk head just passenger side of centre (back and right a bit from the plenum) before u took the motor out.

The bit on the plenum is the BACV - you need it if u want the car to idle?

Great,

Just wanted to make sure, i have labeled everything up as i removed it, but with numbers and letters, now im doing the conversion i actually need to know specific names. Got 90% but just want to be doubly sure before i turn that key as i have just forked out for a rebuild an do not want to pay for another!

Thank you
