Title: Water Temp and Oil Temp ??
Post by: Peter10654 on August 24, 2004, 12:13:24 PM
Hi Guys..

I\'m from Germany and my english isn\'t so good. Sorry for spelling mistakes.

I have a problem with my 95\' FD. It\'s a import from Japan.

Retrofitted Koyo Cooler with High Volume Blower, another Thermostate, Apexi Power FC with Commander, Downpipe, Midpipe and Blitz Nür Spec R Exhaust, Oil Temp...

Performance is very good but i have heavy Temperature Problems.

But for all that changes with cooler and blower... the temperatur is very high. With 120km/h the Temp is OK with Water 88°C but if i drive with 160km/h - 180km/h, water have 96 - 100°C. Faster than 160km/h (hold on 180km/h to 200km/h) the Temperatur goes to Water 110°C -120°C (cooking) and Oil Temp to 120°C.

Andybody in the Forum have an idea ?? Waterpump ??

I have no more Ideas ??

Please help if anybody had the same Problem...

Many thx and hoping for help.

Peter

Or a good car garage near the most southern point in GB so i can bring my car to GB ??

That does sound quite high temps there.

Should be around 80-90oC for water temp.

And 70-85oC oil temp.

I suggest you get the car cooling system checked out and check that the intercooler / oil cooler is not being odstructed from the front of the car? EG - If the plate number is blocking any of those??
