Spookily enough, as I pulled into the cinema last night there was already an FD there - nice red car, black-and-red alloys, GTish wing, sideskirts and 99-look front end.
Anyone on here? I know there\'re a couple of black FDs in Ashford, but I\'d not seen this one before.
That was probley me, did it have silly big C-West spoiler? haha, just been reading through these old posts.
stuart!!!!!!
its nick here, we went to rotorstock 1 together with paul carter?
i was in the lagnum vr4??
remember??
Nick
How\'s ya doing? long time matey, hows the car running? it\'s looking very NICE!! Fancy you seeing my post so quick!
cars good mate.
did you get a rebuild in the end? last time we met your motor was overheating!!
this your first time on the club then??
whats the spec on your car i cant remember, is a single turbo??
have you spoken to paul lately??
N
Yep had the rebuild, nice and cheap!! haha, only thing that had not gone in the engine was the TIPS, how strange! Had rebuild aug\'04 and has been running good. Stock turbo\'s at mo mate, running with Apexi AVCR boost controller, 4" straight through exhaust \'with the occasional flames!\' Cone filter and had the ports all polished up when rebuilt. Want to start gettin serious with it now, so shall see how that goe\'s.
Haven\'t seen Paul for v long time, what bout yourself?
Wat you running now?
Stu

i have put a post in "other rotary powered vehicles" with some pics of my old FC being used as a doner for a custom built job, as it progresses im going to post new pics. gona try to get the new owner to take it to rotorstock if its finished!
catch up soon,
Carl :burnout
Heh, if you\'re in Whitstable that explains why I keep seeing your FD around - looking at your pic that\'s definitely the one :)
My FD\'s down for rebuild at the moment :( But hopefully it\'ll finally be done in the next couple of weeks.
ouch! hope it aint too much £££\'s luckily i have got away with it so far :Thumbs-up, myself and stuart (cwest kitted FD) are going to try and set up a local meet for us east kent lads, if your interested let us know! probably going to be at a pub somewhere:cheers.

Hope the motor is done soon for ya, who\'s doing the build? I see you live in thanet, so your probley see me over there quit a bit, as thats where i work.
Can\'t say i\'ve seen your motor though, guess it\'s been ill for a bit.
stu
so then mate we are finally in the same thread at the same time!
Did i mention to you that i asked that bloke about a respray for you? it will be £900 approx, or another option which i thought was quit good, was he said that he could make it into a metalic sort of red, by using the existing base coat and tidying it up and then blowing over it with a metalic finish!! so as if having a change of colour respray, but with out all the expense! lovely.
yeah got your message mate i just need the spare £900 but with all the money i should be saving from using the old oil burner (octavia) you never know, have oyu got instant messenger? you up for a trip to Bexhill on the 4th of march to see nick?

I was sorely tempted to have a go myself (I\'ve got the rebuild DVDs and so on) but I just don\'t have the space. Sam\'s Garage in Canterbury, over at Wincheap, are doing it. I know some of the guys there and I can pop over a lot from work to see how it\'s going.
It\'s been off the road three months now - endless waits for parts it seems, but I wouldn\'t have driven it over winter anyway. Looking out the window, I wouldn\'t fancy it today either. Hopefully it\'ll be sunny when I\'m finally zooming around in it again.
Also, an east Kent meet would be great. I\'ve been up to a few of the Dartford ones, and they\'ve been fun, but it\'s a bit of a trek for a weekday night.
Hope the rebuild goe\'s well, your luck to have someone rebuild it so close. I had to go to Bournemoth for mine back in \'04. Luckly had mine rebuilt very quickly, 3 days. I\'m surprised they took it on, as not many people would.
Mine goe\'s in for some body work on the 27th, if you ever need any done try these guys out \'Panel Care\' they are up at that new industrial park in Hersden. Very very good and great prices.
Local meet would be great, we thought there is such a rising number of FD\'s in this area it would be good. Will ask Clive first though, for his thoughts. But can\'t see a problem, because dartford is a fair trek.
Your have to keep us posted on the rebuild, by email or this thread. (stuart_wilson1@yahoo.co.uk)
