The software underlying this forum is based on PHP and I don't think anyone can have missed the world headlines that a major security flaw was discovered in PHP which could result in hackers gaining full access to the site.
Rest assured, the only data held on forum users is their username and email address. But even these are important to protect, so last night I took the precaution of taking the forum offline, so enabling me to update the forum today with the latest (patched) version 8.5.12 of PHP which was released yesterday and removes the vulnerability.
