This event is a little earlier in the calendar than in recent years. The MRC will have a club stand, co-located with the RX-8 OC to make a bigger rotary display for the public to admire. Overall, we are hoping to get 50+ cars on the combined stand.
The show features gripping non-stop track action, awesome paddock displays, show & shine competitions, top 25 parade laps, thrilling drifting demos, public track time, and a bustling trade village.
The RX-8 OC plan to have a couple of gazebos on their stand and from around 7:30am they'll be providing bacon/sausage rolls plus, throughout the day: cakes, tea, coffee, cold drinks and snacks. Most cakes & scones are provided by fellow members. This is free to RX-8 OC members. Non-members are most welcome to avail themselves of the refreshments available, but will be asked for a donation of £5 to the RX-8 OC. I have the facility to take card paymnents, so no cash needed!
This circuit is independently run, has been very good to car clubs for many years and deserves our support to keep running. If you have not been to this event before, then you are missing out on a great show. This short official video from the 2022 event gives you some idea of what to expect,
BENEFITS OF BEING PART OF A CLUB STAND:- Show off your car inside the circuit's grounds and be a part of the show!
- Entitlement to take your car out on track in any of the 15 minute public track sessions (at extra cost).

Once you complete the online booking form, go to the basket to pay. (There is NO EXTRA BOOKING FEE, unlike in previous years).
Once paid you will receive 2 emails. The first will be your order receipt, the 2nd will have an attachment -
this your ADMISSION E-TICKET for the event for you to print out and take with you.The E-TICKET will also state:
"Closer to the event, you will receive your club display pass as an E-HANGER for you to PRINT OFF and DISPLAY before attending the circuit.
Without the e-hanger, you will not be admitted to the display area (this e-ticket is insufficient). If you don't bring the hanger, you must park in the public car parking.
You will be emailed the e-hanger after we close sales and allocate the display stand site numbers. This means you will receive the pass before the event. The e-hanger include your display stands' site number, the colour of your entry gate and directions to said gate."EXCLUSIVE TRACK SESSIONAt 10.45am, there will be a RX-8 OC exclusive, 15minute track session available (price TBD, but around £30). RX-8 OC members will get first shout on the limited (~20) places, but if an MRC members is wanting to go out on track, then post up in here and, if spaces are available, there won't be a problem in joining the session. If you have not driven a session at JDM Combe before, this "driver's view" video below will give you some idea of what it is like. Click on the "gearwheel", bottom right of video, and select "Quality - HD" for the best view.
It's great fun, and I would recommend anyone who has not driven on track before to request a "club exclusive" session just for the experience. A full briefing on how to drive on track will be given to all participants on the day (nothing complicated!). It may be possible to arrange for an experienced track driver to sit in as a passenger, if requested. A helmet is required, but these can be hired on the day for a nominal fee - sometimes members also have spare helmets they can loan FOC.

Thanks

Dear club admin,
We are excited to announce a discount code for £5 off club display passes for JDMCombe Action Day 2025.
This code is valid for the early bird price, provided that stock is available.
This exclusive code has been sent to club admins from clubs that participated in last season's event.
Please note that this is a limited-time offer and will expire three months before the booking deadline on Sunday 5th, February 2025.
The code is 'JDMC24' and is to be entered at the cart checkout page.
I have tested this and, at the moment, this code works so tickets can be purchased now for £15
Thanks for posting that up Lisa :13:

Hi Dave. I'm away at the moment. Will look at this when I get back.
Thanks for the info Lisa. I will try the code tomorrow.
I did get to the PM page and find the info by clicking on the send PM link under profile. Malcolm I have sent you a PM. Basically I can not see any indication on website that I have received a PM, not sure how you are meant to navigate to the PM page. Let me know if you need me to try anything.
Ticket purchased code worked OK.
Dave
Good evening Lisa and Clive, can you please put me on the list, and send me the code so that I can purchase the ticket, looking forward to it this year. All the best to you and Clive.
Markp
PM inbound shortly Mark - be great to see you there :icon_thumleft:
The Early Bird tickets are now sold out, but tickets for your car, plus up to 3 passengers, can still be purchased for £20 witht the £5 discount code :13:
Thanks Malcolm, all paid.
Heads up, last chance to bag a ticket, admitting car and up to 4 adults in the car, for just £20
Price will be going up to £25 shortly.
It's going to be another great rotary stand, with 36 cars already signed up and still 4 months to go.
Exclusive track session has 19 cars signed up, still a few places left.
Sorry I won't be able to attend Combe this year - I'll be on my way back from a trip to the US that weekend.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for good weather for you all 8) and hope it's a great day!
Cheers all!
Thanks Lynne, shame you can't make this one, especially as fairly local for you, but a USA trip sounds good!
LynneE has changed her plans and I have added her to the list.
I look forward to seeing Lynne and "Leroy" at the show :icon_thumleft:
Thank you Malcolm!
I've booked in now and have received both emails :13:
See you all there!
Lynne (& Leroy ;) )

Hi Casey we are unable to come along with the RX8 or Rx7 due to mechanical problems we will be attending but in our everyday car and park in the public carpark. Kind regards John.
Sorry to hear you can't bring either of your cars John, but glad to hear you can both make it to the event :icon_thumleft:
Everyone should have received an email with their stand "mirror hanger", our stand position location and some instructions for the day. You should also have your entry "E-ticket" for site entry, which was sent when you paid for the event a while back.
I plan to post up a final set of summarised info later today. If there are any questions after that, please get in touch!
Less than a week to go!!
Some information that might help your preparations....
Below is the stand layout plan we will aim to work from. You will have received a "RED GATE CAMP MAP" with your stand mirror hanger. The plan below is an expanded view of Area M5, M6, M22-M26 on that map.
We have a great area to share with the RX7FB.com club at the bottom of the banking, between the track and access road. The layout is only my suggestion, it may be on the day that a different layout would work better. There is plenty of space to work with.
PLEASE aim to arrive no earlier than 7.30am, to allow the Events Team to set up the marquee, gazebo, refreshments gear, and mark out the stand.Points to note:- Refreshments (1 or 2 breakfast bacon rolls), water and soft drinks will be available. There will also be tea & coffee, but please BRING YOUR OWN MUG - only a limited supply will be available on the day. Members are most welcome to bring cakes, etc, to share.
- Refreshments are FREE to fully paid RX-OC Members, others will be required to contribute £5 if you wish to partake - still a lot cheaper then the trade vans! Cash would be good, else paypal or I can take card payments on my phone on behalf of the club (only if I have a signal!).
- Bring your own camping chair(s) to relax in the Club Marquee, which we are welcome to use.
Any questions? If not, I look forward to seeing everyone on the day :)
See you there everyone! Looking forward to it, should be a great day with weather looking promising.
Gwyn and I are heading to Chippenham shortly, to make it a long weekend :icon_thumleft:
Thank you to Malcolm for the orgaisation and all of you that came along.
I thought going back to this area was better and it was good to see new faces and catch up with members who have loved their Rotary's for what seems like forever.
Still cant believe, both myself and some of you have been to every since JDM started some 25 years ago !
Well done on that achievement Clive :icon_thumleft: I have attended most, but missed maybe 3 or 4 along the way.
I think we had a fabulous location, with plenty of space too. Thankyou all for your support and presenting such a variety of rotaries in stunning condition.
I thoroughly enjoyed my day and had a great time on track with all the other rotaries.
Many congrats to Mark on his car being selected for the "Top 50 Cars of the Show" parade laps.
Can't seem to attach any photos at the moment (on my phone). Will do that tomorrow :)
Thanks to all who were involved with the meticulous organisation of the event, from the Bacon Rolls to the weather & great company etc :occasion14:
