Hope you all have have a good show......would have loved to display, but part of me will be there :great:
regards Pete
Real shame we were not allowed more cars as we could have put on a much better and diverse show with cars like yours in attendance.
Many be a year we can have more cars and a more prominent position.
And the show is now open to the public!
Awesome first day on Friday at this show. I was in danger of losing my voice in speaking to so many interesting visitors to our stand. One was a lovely Japanese visitor who spoke no Engish! We had a near real time conversation via a translation device on his phone about his FC TII! He was disappointed not to see one on our stand, but a delight to speak to.
So many people were drawn to the engine display, kindly loaned by Pete (DKWW2000). It was in near constant use and was re-oiled in the afternoon by Lynne to keep it it running smoothly.
Looking forward to an even busier day today!

Great stand, well done! :sign0098:
HubNut captured you (see 11 and a half minutes in)!
Nice to get some YouTube exposure. Thanks for spotting that :icon_thumleft:
A quick post-event review.
A very busy event over three days with masses of great cars and car-related stuff to see. The organisers reported 71,520 visitors over the three days! Busiest seemed to be Friday, but Sat/Sun weren't far behind.
Interest in the MRC stand, especially in the "working" engine, was immense. Many of us had sore throats and feet at the end of the show, which was very well organised (if a little over-bureaucartic at times).
Overall, a very enjoyable, very tiring and very rewarding event - spreading the message about our unique engines and cars.
Lynne and I stayed over an extra night, collecting our cars from the exhibition hall on Monday morning. That was a wise decision, as it would have been a long journey for both of us in the dark and we were both very tired. Instead, we joined a group from the GT-40 Enthusiasts Club - an owner of one of those gorgeous cars is also a member on here and owns an RX-7 FB! A lovely "Miller and Carter" meal was enjoyed in great company on the Sunday evening.
I had a leisurely 3.25 hour trip home on Monday (in the SUNSHINE too) avoiding the morning and afternoon rush hours.
Lynne is keen to organise an MRC stand again next year, requesting a slightly larger one to accommodate more models (R100 and Cosmo Sport are likely to be available to show). The RX-8 OC are going to do the same and are keen on repeating the "timeline/story" of Mazda rotarys that out linked stands provided.
Again, many thanks to the MANY people who helped make this event a great success. Special thanks to Andrew (Jinx) who provided some superb graphics for banners, flags and showplates, and to Pete (RE5) who kindly loaned us the 12A engine display.
Great pics! So that's where Malcolm was all those hours they were looking for him, competing at the Le Mans 24 hrs? ;)
Hubnut got you on the second go, too. This time at 35'55":

An interesting shot angle of our stand, with me in full flow explaining the rotary magic ;)
Well done Malcolm, :sign0098: nice write up and pictures.
Same here. Well done everyone who made this happen :sign0098:
Thanks for the write up Malcolm. It was great to share time with you all over the weekend. Looking forward to doing it again.
Your stand was always busy when i dropped by. Pleased to see interest in the rotary still strong.
Glad to see that Clive's car is attracting attention amongst the many cars at the show.
