just wondered if anyone can help,
ive noticed recently after turning the rex off that i can hear bubbling noises comming from the radiator i think?? i allow the car to run on the turbo timer for approx 2 mins but this still happens, is it normal? or is allowing it to run for that long allowing the car to get hot again as its sat still nd not pushing cool air through the rad.
thanks
dave
have you had a service / replaced your coolant recently matey? I say this as I had this problem when my system wasn\'t bled correctly, it basically means there is air in the system.
It is more than common after a hot day / hard run for the turbos to dump heat into the system but that would causing a swishing noise rather than a bubbling
Sounds as if there air in there, if you have had the coolant replaced you most likely need it bleeding properly
is it using water or leaking ? could be boiling the coolant if your loosing pressure. Is the rad cap in good condtion ? (ie. is it releasing the pressure to early)

it hasnt had the coolant touched for a few months, but after taking off th collant cap the seal liiks slightly perrished in one spot. how do i bleed the system, is it just a case of running it with the cap off and squeezing the pipes untill the air is out? or is there a bleed valve?
sounds like it\'s what Mike said if the caps screwed
I\'ve only ever seen it being burped a couple of times rather than done it myself
Far as I\'ve seen, take the main water filler cap and ast cap off and put the coolant mix in each of the points slowly with the engine running... spills a bit and gurgles a lot.
Fill it at the points (AST and main water filler cap) until it\'s full.
i know thwe main point in the centre of the engine bay bt where/ what is the AST?
could it also be the air con? I no my scoob used to c/o air con & even my modeo still burbles a bit after shutting off specially if i\'ve been a/c\'ing it....?
Si (possibly full of hot air

lol)
