Title: Something for Le Weekend?
Post by: jinx on October 26, 2022, 01:14:23 AM
"An extremely rare and original example of a Citroen Birotor"
https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C970716

Ad says that Citroen bought back and destroyed so many of them there are very few left.
This one survived by being in first one then another dealership's collection.

Impetuous people at Citroen. As I remember the GS they need only have waited a few months and the cars would all have had terminal tin worm.

Whoa! Hens' teeth are far easier to come by (but what's the use of hens' teeth anyway)?
Almost tempted.  :D

Apparently Citroen have form for buying back and breaking up their embarrassments.  They did the same thing for the turbocharged 4WD BX they hoped was going to win rallies.  They got their own back a few years later with M Loeb.
