Hi all I'm looking for some ideas on helmets at over 6 foot tall my normal helmet I use (not when in the fb rx7) I can't use as I don't fit ! Is there any open face helmet with a low head height I could look at for more head room for a track day

With helmet on in the car at the moment I'm about 1 or 2 inches to high I can't put the seat back anymore or I will be horizontal

I'm
6,2 ish and Managed in the 8 with a helmet
The only fab thing about open face ones is the ability to remove and fit in position whilst seated

Three options.
Lower the seat if possible, buy a cheap race seat and swop it out for track work and lastly, "if"the Autosport show goes ahead in January this would give the opportunity the physically check out crash helmets

Autosport show has been postponed. No indication when they will try and re-arrange.

Thanks all, the seat is not something I would change as its not a track day car but I will look at the original seat mounts and try lower them if I can get half an inch on the seat and half an inch lower helmet height it would be enough room for me to fit

In the mx5 world there is a thing called a seat foamectory..
The standard mk2 and mk2.5 seats are taken apart base and back and alot of the foam is removed giving an inch back and down. Its documented various forums and youtube. Might be something the rx7 seat could do.
