TOO FAST TO RACE !
Many of my fellow Track Attack competitors will be happy to know that this morning I have been Banned from all future Track Attack events for being too Fast!
Irony is my car is very much a budget car compared to many out there with an engine that's cost just 3K under the hood that's not been even been touched for four years now, as the increase in speed has come from the chassis rather than the engine !!.
Many thanks to all my fellow Track Attackers for some great Racing over the seven years and to Steve Vince for his support from when the car first appeared and was viewed as a laughing stock till I made it reliable !!! 🤣🤣🤣

Well well
I guess that's funny how Jon picked up on the comment about having 4000 bhp in the video footage
Looks like they been gunning for you out for a while
Shame that
Never mind , nice full trophy cabinet to gloat on

Good luck in the future with thunder saloons

What an absolute joke !
Words fail me. Especially on a family friendly forum.

Yes, I caught the 4000HP comment too but assumed it was a hapless slip of the tongue rather than a conspiracy. It would make more sense if there was no class structure in the races but they are probably all too young to remember that the precursor to the current homogenised BTCC 'show' was often won overall by a small capacity car that dominated its class rather than races. According to Motorsport magazine this month, that was too complicated a concept for racers and spectators even then. Not quite how I remember it but I am verrrrry old these days.
Curious to know if the "Too Fast to Race" lobby includes the Clio that was just three tenths slower than you round Mallory - a race you returned a DNF from? Perhaps he's next on the list!
You could consider the ban success ballast of the highest order I suppose and, with a thirty five car entry, Mr Track Attack obviously no longer has to scratch round for entries so keeping 'most of the people' happy will be his primary concern. The combined grid in the Thunder, Boss and Classic saloon series has a similar disparity in performance between the cars but perhaps fewer of the drivers are likely to be dreaming of a professional touring car seat and consequently less sensitive to the idea of their individual brilliance not being recognised by a mid-field finish - even if they do win their class. In a world where perception is truth perhaps they can be forgiven for assuming not being seen to win constitutes unfairness! :D :D :D
We need to

You're moving up the ranks, Clive. Before long you'll be in the sports prototype category, racing 787Bs and Porsche 962s. :great:
That is so ridicilous

Anyone know where I can get a few of these done and be with me by Saturday?
I'm sure a local embroidery place could do them

Received an official letter yesterday banning my car and reimbursing my monies.
Although I have not been dominating the series by winning all the time, indeed I was only 3 tenths faster than the Renault that won the race, so due to power to weight I was far from leaving them all behind!.
I know a couple of drivers have moaned before (one with a 400BHP car in a 300BHP class!) to be told they were not actually racing me, but racing to win their class. I know some did not like it that they were faster in corners and under braking because their cars were lighter, only for me to overtake them on the straights.
Worth say that if my Racing was just so I could win I would not be racing in Thunder Saloons where some of the cars cost 200K upwards-----------------but I do like a challenge ;)
What many here will not know is that for the first two years, I was ridiculed with my unreliable Rotary, now with 58 races, many wins and no issues for four years now-----------they are not laughing any more, indeed they are scared of it!!!
It's going to be there loss, the only other cars to stand out from a sea of hatchbacks is the mx5 and the Subaru. And from what I could see going into the first corner with extra down force and less mass you were braking later and going in quicker that I don't think they liked . Fetch on the thunder salons :sign0098:

Isn't that a perfect summary of the success history of the rotary engine? :notworthy:
You've been 'de-platformed' Clive. :D To be honest, TA always seemed to be marked by a lot of whinging whenever a result went outside the group profile of 'the many' among the entrants. Their 'welcome' to the young chap next to you in the paddock at Snetterton amounted to a warning not to get in their way when they lapped him. They never bothered to find out he had several years competition experience on two wheels in his past and might not get lapped! He was just another 'new face' in another 'wrong' car. :)
What would the TA 'voters' make of Tom Kristensen's drive from the back row at Goodwood in 2015? Ford Fairlane vs Cortina vs Alfa Romeo vs .....just about anything else you can name. Variety rules! Good luck in Thunder Saloons
I think the organisers of TA have lost the essence of why it existed in the first place! Quite an accolade to be banned for being "too fast" in a sport which is about being just that

. Well done Clive and team for showing how you develop a car without mega budgets and still "stick it" to the competition

Just a shame that playground politics seems to have got involved

(Great T-Shirt design BTW!!
