As some of you have multicar policies i was wondering how it worked....
Currently i have a trade policy which is pretty much no frills cover. no windscreen no legal etc and tbh whilst it was great when i was doing alot of mot and servicing work and buying and selling a few but im not doing that now and the value of my 7 has rocketed leaving it exposed.
I have 0 points and 0 crashes ( on the road lol) and maximum NCD. I put details into direct line and was unsure on multicar policy if you use NCD on all cars or just 1? I suspect id have to insure 7 separately with a specialist but the scooby mondeo and mx5 could be on a multicar policy and 7 on a classic policy...the mx5 turbo who knows....there all insured at present for £700...but max claim is £10k :( and im not really trading anymore....
renewal is June need to sort b4 then..
I did a multi vehicle policy through a broker in brum called heritage insurance.
Insured my old mx5 as the main one, but limited miles, my rx8 as the daily driver and insured my Honda xl250 valued at 3500 for 69 pounds a year.
Dunno how the ncd works but he dud tell me a trade secret that anything over 6 years is the same as 6 years. They don't give anymore discount after 6 regardless of what they tell you.

Ive just crashed admiral quote engine..lol...rx7 and mx5 turbo it dont like.
Ive been getting individual quotes on the mx5 turbo and rx7 with all mods delared very resonable but the multicar sites wont except these cars.. Ill prob have to ring up nearer the time.
Its still all cheaper than Sarah in here civic rollerskate much to here annoyance...Rx7fd all mods declared value at optimistic £17k. £347.00

helps being an old fart
I put a few others in 2. R35 gtr.£400. V8isf £220.

Multi car policies from firms like Admiral and Direct Line are market segmented - they will automatically exclude anything that is not porridge because it limits the risk. A broker might be able to sort out a 'collector' policy that includes all your stable but brokerages are getting harder to find now most of the business gets done online. I would recommend the one I used to use but they appear to have disappeared into the checkbox hell that is internet insurance shopping. I waded through pages of questions for an MGB a while back only to discover at the end it was considered a 'specialist vehicle' (:))) and therefore required me to ring them.
Cheers Jinx yeah looks like specialist and multi car policy...and see if ncd can be mirrored.
