Oh dear! I've just spoken to Nigel (Events Coordinator, RX-8 OC) and he's confirmed there is a problem with many (including our) club stands not being available this year! Nigel's statement:

Past years they have automatically added the regulars clubs and then all we have had to do is confirm we are coming when booking the club tickets.

There are approximately 8 clubs booked in this year  ??? and the rest are Single Entry Bookings from individuals who have bought tickets direct and not coming as clubs.

For now will keep the monies within the club shop on the off chance they allocate more space for this years event, but the list is now closed off at 30 cars on our Club Stand if we manage to get one.

Rich, obviously, you are OK to go as you bought your ticket as an individual direct, but for the rest of us ....... Nigel spoken to Beaulieu today and put us on the "wait list" and so it's a question of watch this space.

I've booked a non-refundable hotel in the area, so it may be a weekend on the South Coast or a trip around the New Forest instead!

That's not great news I wanted to meet up with everyone going :( if that is the case l probably would not go by my self !

Yeah, a real bummer! We've never had any difficulty before when we've booked this event, and we've been going every year for around a decade. They certainly know how to treat loyal clubs who have supported the venue!

We could all still meet up anyways and make our own rotary/jdm event anywhere we want

Boris has spoken and Beaulieu have now decided to allow more clubs to attend this event, so we are GO!

I recognise this might be a bit late for some, so can everyone who has expressed an interest confirm if they have already bought a ticket (either direct from Beaulieu or via the RX-8 OC shop, and still intends to go.

THIS IS URGENT, as the RX-8 OC need to place an order for the tickets asap, so they can be received in time for the event. For those meeting at  the rendezvous point on the day, the tickets will most likely be handed to you there.

Rich - I've asked the RX-8 OC to include you on the stand numbers  :icon_thumleft:

So, who's now going? Can everyone confirm I have this list correct?

That is great news. We will still be going although probably not meeting at RVP and will go direct to the event so would prefer tickets to be posted.

The RX-8 OC organiser has arranged a pair of electronic tickets for you Dave, instead of the cardboard ones we will have to hand out at the RV location. It's a PDF document that I can email to you, for you to print out and take with you on the day. You'll just need to ask the stewards to direct you to the RX-8 OC stand. It's no problem if you change your mind and decide to join us at the RV point on the day with those tickets, just let me know a day or two beforehand, so we know who to expect.

Great day out, with great cars on the stand, not only that I finally met Paul and his Renny MX-5 Woho . 

Its was great to finally get out and attend our first show of the year. Thanks to the rx8ownersclubuk 👍Many Rotaries cars there, sadly not many included in the video ☹

Thanks Malcolm for taking the time to capture the moment & to post those great pictures.   It is always good in the depth of winter to look back on these events making the effort of keeping our cars on the road during those dismal months :occasion14:
