The forum has me listed as a Newbie , so i thought i best say hello and give a little back ground as to how I found myself on my roatry journey.
So how did I find myself owning an RX8.
April 2018 off the back of the sale of my BMW 650 (623bhp) 6 months earlier , my petrol head buddies thought we best road trip to Jap fest now you best have reson for going to jap fest in something thats not JAP , Skubi , an evo and an r32 skyline all make it on manfacturer , an audi RS3 (600bhp) and VXR astra (520bhp) qualify coz well 500> bhp right. well i best buy something JAP , ebay found a rebuilt engine RX8 listing no reserve ok let punt at £500 what the harm .. 2 days later £330 you win.
ok so it misfired and trun hard right if you let go (makes roundbaouts easy) but it was mine £600 a bit of welding and a brake refurb and we were road tripping convoy of global warming petrol heads on a mission to siverstone. thats the start of this journey a chase with a £52K cayman s and him not getting away was fun, a combined 20 mpg for the trip were just some of the highlights. just a journey with your mates to somewhere is what its all about.
anyway 18months later and well i promise it is the same car.
its not my daily and it nver will be its my road companion for when i just want to drive coz rotary , or as inlaws say just wasting fuel.
i am now a member of your club and look ofrward to meany road trips just coz i can just coz rotary.
thanks for having me, heres to the journey.
