Being old, I remember seeing and reading about Willy, never could have realised what rubbish he went through, Wow what a stong character, many would have just run away.

Rush, This was an era that I followed 100% and was even at Brands and saw with my own eyes the Paddock hill crash, personally I thought the Rush film was real bad :-[

Watched an excellent 2019 film yesterday The Art of Driving Fast in the Rain.

The impressive thing s that ALL the narrative surrounding the motor racing techniques was 100% right, which I out down to Patrick Dempsey who co-produced the film.

Still love Days of Thunder which was based on a driver called Tim Richmond who I followed at the time.

But the Best best Motor Racing Film of all time has to be Grand Prix starring James Garner.

One thing I have always hoped is that a certain promo film would pop up on YouTube one day.

Many Years later Lucky Strike (cigarettes) made a  short never released film at Monza  where they invited James and Gilles Villeneuve to drive “slowly” the fake F1 cars that were used in the film.

Graham Hill taught James for the film and exclaimed, “I wish I was as good at his job as he is at mine”!

I found it so amusing that James didn’t do as he was told and simply cleared off to drive the car properly  around Monza like he did in the film.  :)) :))

Yes, I picked up on what was said in the Willy Ribs film.

They paid Nascar stupid ammounts of money to be able to actualy film the cars racing with the real cars in Days of Thunder also the relationship potrayed in the film about Harry Hyde was real!.

There is a proper documentary film about Tim Richmond and you will see why they made a film about him,
He loved the ladies and died of Aids and at his last race at Somona which he had to fight Nascar to get a licence, even though he was very ill he still won his last ever race Easily.  Stupidly flamboyant but an amazing guy inside  a Race car

I forgot to mention /

Crash and Burn
â€" sex and drugs story of F1’s bad boy!

This is a really Fascinating film of a rags to rags driver who could have been the very best out there in F1

Tommy Byrne was compared to Senna before his hot temper landed him in trouble. This fascinating film does justice to the legend that nearly was ::)
