Hi, we have an awful lot of registered accounts on the forum which are very dormant, with no posts for ages in some cases. It would be really great, if you have an account, to post in here, if only a brief "Hi, I'm still a rotary fan" or similiar. Even better if you can post up a pic or two of your current, no longer possessed, or deeply desired Mazda rotary ;D
Also, please check that the email address on your profile here is still current, as we do send out one or two emails a year to keep in touch with enthusiasts who rarely frequent the forum these days.
We'll be doing some "culling" of apparently "dead" forum accounts next year, so would hate to cull yours if you want to keep it!
I'll just start off with posting pics of my current collection of Mazda Rotaries (even though I do post on here regularly!) :)
I'm still here and just got my brother in a PZ yesterday! So he'll be signing up soon!

;D Thanks guys, you've got the ball rolling :13:
Part of the reason for this topic is I plan (with time working against me though!) to get a email out before Christmas to all registered account addresses on the forum which will include a link pointing to this topic, asking for a post.
Hopefully it will help to confirm if a large number of very old accounts are still active and help me manage communications better :)
Still here, visit most days. Car is SORN'd for the winter so no recent pics.
Yep Still here
I am around the forums most weeks and saw a good few from MRC just this past Friday.

Maybe over a quiet time over festive season you could let us know your current rotary situation :)

Sorry but its a welded in one and will be getting cut out of the car. Be no use to anyone else once its chopped up.
I need to get the windscreen out and then start cutting, will have a modified dash (flocked in black) that is surplus to requirement. I've already bought an un-butchered one to go back once its flocked.
Shaun
Don't cull me please, no rotary atm (been about 6 years since I sold) but hope to be back one day and I still log on to lurk and drool
I'm still here and out with the FD to local Sunday Morning Breakfast meets most Sundays. Even appeared fleetingly on YouTube !!
im still lurking in the darkness... thats my slang for the weather sucks and its been raining for feels like months but im not giving up on my dream of having one car atleast on the road... one day... maybe... :great:
Thanks for posting guys, that will have updated your profile "last logon date" and "last post date", ensuring you escape any culling ;)
Yes still love the Rotary, have use of RX8 at the moment, no FD at the moment, but!
I’m still here took mine out to Wirral cars & coffee last Sunday

Still here lurking :icon_thumright: still a Rotary fan... :13:
2 cars and no MOT's though... I need to try harder.
Rich
Thanks guys, nice to know there are lurkers on here still ;)
A brief post now and again would be fantastic, just to know you are still interested in Mazda rotaries and haven't moved on :13:
Hi, I'm still here and she's still alive :great:
Is that the 7 I followed into Beaulieu last year?
if so, sounded fantastic!
Unfortunately not, didn't make it last year but hoping this year may be different.

I hope you can make it to at least one event this year.

I'm still here. Need to stop going on rx8 oc so much!
But seriously having 2 children takes it out of you. I strongly discourage having 2!
I'm aiming to attend all of the car shows this year
Yup, still popping in occasionally and still loving the rotary.
Good to see some enthusiasts still lurking on here :13:
I'm still around, not had a rotor for 7 years - but keep looking, might get an Rx8 or another 1st gen at some point before prices go too silly :)
Nice to see you are still around Brett - and managed to get your password sorted ;)
I appreciate that everything costs money, but it's there any way of making the desktop version of the forum a bit more user friendly? I find it very clunky to use.
Tapatalk has its moments on my phone and doesn't always load properly hence my lack of attendance on this forum. I would prefer to use a user friendly forum platform.

Hey Paul
Yes absolutely. There are a few plans in the pipeline to modernise the club platform.
RX8 231 2008 Galaxy Gray
Alive, my 1st gen is slowly getting back to the road after MOT expiring in September 2019 as i could not get the wipers to work (traced to the control unit for wipers / indicators) - then load of welding to get MOT ready, hopefully will pass tomorrow, then onto finding a replacement interior, having it resprayed (rattle can black is not great).
Not that I will get much driving in the next few months me thinks....
Holy Moly Mazdaman, last posted in 2014, where have you been ;D
Really lucky we didn't zap your account when we had a clear out of inactive accounts ;)
Glad to hear you're getting your 1st Gen back on the road. I'm chuffed as my Series 3 1st Gen was due for it's MOT in May, which has now been moved to November with this 6 months extension announced today. Not much chance of driving it soon though, the current circumstances :(
Too much work, no time for cars. 2014 probably still had a RX8 back then, then went to a Yellow convertible TII, then stopped for a bit, the usual I promised my wife no more RX7's. Then bought this <what i thought was ok> about 2 years ago. Been lots of parts to find / replace, then an unexpected engine rebuild, then the welding. I have chosen to ignore what it has cost me so far and probably only driven 200 miles.
I just love the 1st gen's for looks, 3rd gen's for performance.

Absolutely!
As you'll be aware, the 1st gens are now getting very rare in the UK, so well worth the effort to get her running I reckon. I love driving mine, when I get a chance, so retro, yet drives so well (apart from the steering!).
:welcome: Back rx7mazdaman great to hear your still out there as a Rotary fan :wee_hee:
Yep R100 in garge but hoping to get out when lockdown over!
Good to hear from you Piers.
Thanks for the picture of your wonderful car
Is that original R100?

In Europe?

Fantastic picture Piers :icon_thumleft:
You must let me know what events you plan to attend once this lockdown is over, I would love to meet up with you and see that R100 :notworthy:
It's been some years but I'm still lurking. Some familiar names which is good to see. I've not posted on any forums for years, always was the best resource rather than Facebook (archives etc)
:occasion14:
Ricco, fantastic to see you are still lurking on here! Do you still have a rotary in your life?
Great to see you post, as above, still into Rotary ?
Hell I hope so I have only just joined..
Rotary for life... :great:
:welcome: to the MRC Luke. Nice tattoo!
I've resized your photo to 1024 pixels wide. One downside of this forum is that pictures are not automatically resized. They display better on most devices when 1024 pixels wide.
Looking forward to seeing some pcitures of your RX-8 project car :icon_thumleft:
Yer just working on resizing them.
Yup, still lurking now and then. It's been quite some years since i've posted on forums.

Still here and so is my FC. Needless to say not being used as much as it was, but just taken her for a run today and all seems well. Going to be an expensive year for it though as I'm going to need the outer sills attended to (ie replaced) before too long!
Anyway fresh from a trip down the A30.....

Ha ha yes ! It's Dodge Viper blue, the kit car was sprayed up about 22 years ago and was an easy option for the recent respray on the Fd.
Andy Howe > I'm still here but not very active on the rotary front. I still have my FC (erg) 1989 which I've owned since 2003. Engine rebuilt by Carl Haywood and team back in Sept 2012. Always brings a smile to my face when I drive it, I've never spent a lot on it so ratio to enjoyment to cost is way up there.
Excellent thread, good to see you still enjoy the car Andy :great:
Still here, look forward to getting together next year.

Thank you for the full membership payment - I have upgraded your account to "Full Member" :icon_thumleft:
I'd love to see some pictures of your current rotary and what has happened since your last post on here in 2008 :)

I'm kind of still here. I still have my FD but seem to be doing much less with it lately.
It now has a full interior in and is setup to do more car and coffee.
Really good to hear from you Shaun and that you still have your FD.
Wow you have had that for a lot of years now :great:
Brilliant to hear you still have your FD Shaun :13:
