Title: 99 RS - Classic Car Insurance? Which providers
Post by: cib24 on November 15, 2018, 05:38:02 PM
Hello,

I became a paying member on this site not long ago (I know I know). Anyway, I just cancelled my insurance with my previous provider as they wanted an extra £200 this year for some weird reason. I feel like anything north of £500 per year on a car like this which doesn't get driven that much is ridiculous. I haven't considered classic car insurance until now, but since the car is about to be 20 years old then I figure it's worth a try?

Who should I be calling for quotes? It seems that so many people can insure these cars stock or modified for under £400. Hopefully I have a shot.

Thanks for the help.

I've recently insured mine with 'need 2 insure'. They were very good, easy to deal with and offer a modern classic policy for rx7's. I have an agreed valuation policy for a lightly modified fd which is £475. I'd definitely recommend giving them a ring, couldn't fault the service I received.

I get my lightly modified '99 insured as a second car, garaged, 3,000 miles per year. I shop around each year and have used Adrian Flux, Sky Insurance, Footman James - suggest you get a quote from each.

I was with AON with the RX-4 until 2 years ago.

Saved a huge £400  by changing to  https://www.carolenash.com/classic-car-insurance/
