Title: What clutch??
Post by: wiggy on August 18, 2004, 04:24:18 PM
Hi all

Just wondered what the general views were on upgraded clutches???

What do people use? How much etc

I had a Clutch master stage 3 in my GT-Four and it was spot on and gripped really well. I noticed they do one for the Rex, is anyone using one?

Also there is some guy selling XTD ones on eBay but I cannot find much out about XTD, who are they? are the clutches any good?

Thanks for any info

Exedy Hyper Single plate is fun. ;)

Digital is not the word for it. Slippage is nil. :(

what do you have planned for it from a power & abuse point of view & how traffic friendly do you want it?

I have an exedy organic in mine. It feels just like the standard clutch but will take more torque... won\'t handle the power like a twin plate though. Cost was £250 (from the states) and about £150 to fit it as far as I remember

its gotta be able to cope with the strip and track days...

Plus I will use it for work now and then so something that doesn\'t require legs like arnie

Thats why I liked the clutchmaster on the 4, the pedal felt lighter than std and it held the extra ponies with ease.

Twin plate would be nice but I know a few with them on other cars and the noise they make when the pedal is down it awful...

Wheres a good place to buy?
