Note: not my car. Apologies to whoever does own it.
Need to know what all that plasticy stuff is called so I don\'t sound like a \'tard when I ring around parts suppliers. :)  I\'m replacing the ARC air box in my car with a stock airbox, at least temporarily. Trouble is the air inlet is different on the stock box than the ARC one, so I\'m assuming those plastic bits are necessary. I\'m just trying to work out whether it\'s worth my while buying everything to return the intake to stock, or if I should just go with a cone-style induction kit now, and be done with it.

I\'m just thinking that even if I get my hands on those parts, I\'ll realise there was something else that I need to make it all fit. On the other hand, depending on how a court case at the end of the month goes, I may not be able to keep the rex much longer anyway, so I don\'t want to splash out too much on a fancy induction kit.

Uh, that was a long winded way of asking a simple question. Sorry, and thanks. :)

My technical knowledge ends at Lego........... but

I would think it is a heatshielding to keep the hot air in the engine bay away from the cold air coming in from the front of the car. Thus keeping the air charge to the induction / intercooler / radiator as cold as possible. Cos we like our air as cold as penguins chuff :D:D:D

Sounds good. How much do you want for it? :)

No idea what they are worth..

£20 including postage?

Do you have the plastic ducting that sits underneath it, the one that ducts to the intercooler?

I would like to say that I do. Sort of a box thing, with a square hole in the top?

I\'m wishing I had a digital camera. It would make things like this so much easier if I could just take a picture and say, \'you mean this?\' As it is, I\'m reduced to scouring forums in the hopes of finding a suitable pic. No such luck. :rollin

£20 sounds more than reasonable. If you want to PM or E-mail me (gredders82@hotmail.com)  with a postal address, I\'ll wing a cheque over to you asap (assuming a cheque\'s OK.) :)
