Hi Mark. As I've just seen this I'll reply to speed things up.
The link above will take you to the RX-8OC topic, explaining the day. In the first post you will see a link to the JDM Combe website booking page. If you follow that link you will then need to select the "RX-8 Owners Club" stand. It will then request a Club Code to make your booking and pay. I will PM you the code you need.

Just a little detail to add as the RX8OC and the MRC are sharing the allocated stands after talking to Clive today stand area M6 and into M5 will be allocated to MRC members primarily therefore RX8OC cars will be parked on M22, M23 and M24. In both cases track cars should parked along the road edge of the stands and reversed in.

Just finished wiring up a buzzer i took out of Clives car into lh front indicator its loud and like a reversing lorry beep beep beep...should help getting through the crowds.

Great Day..much fun..broke my car but only minor rad fan fuselage decided to come off and whilst disembarking from rocket and punctured hole in rad...mustve been on last lap as temps fine on track, alarm went off in pitlane and car shut off...
2 track sessions much fun with Clive. Gave my 2 other sessions to some grateful people in trailer park. Got burnt was hot day, 2 immaculate rx7s, an fb and fd on our stand with a lovely chilled out atmosphere.
Thanks for helmet loan, thanks for tour of fb, thanks to Clive n Casey for assistance in my hour of need...thanks to Casey for fb parts and the handbrake incident lol...!!!!

My two track sessions. A few other rotaries to be seen, mainly towards the end of the 10.15 session.
Thoroughly enjoyed the day, got several 1m26.XX and a 1.25.XX. I've not broken the 1m26s before, so reasonably happy. Sub 1m24s is certainly on the cards, but I need more brave pills for Camp corner. I brake far too much for that bend, which compromises the whole flat out run up to Avon Rise. Huge respect for Clive and Jon running sub 1m20s :notworthy:

Strange that, I'm happy with Tower, and Quarry come to that, but not Camp, which is obviously the one corner where exit speed into a huge flat out stretch of track will make a huge difference to laptimes. Tower and Quarry less so as there are only short straights to chicanes after both corners.

Id suggest just running through in 4th a few times build the entry speed up abit at a time.

Most of the time I changed down to 3rd for Camp and back up to 4th before the S/F line. I tried going through in 4th a few times, but I felt better with the acceleration out of Camp in 3rd. I just need to go in a bit faster ;).
I agree, I need to work on keeping to 4th and work on increasing entry speed. I need an Open Pit Lane day down there to spend more time experimenting :)
