Car has passed the MOT WITH FLYING COLOURS, just advisories on the front tyres so going to replace the worn ditch finders for something decent.
For the life in me I can't remember what tyres clive advised, I think maybe some Falkens. Or seeing as though I'm getting a new family car soon do it get something stickier than a good road tyre?
I'm thinking 245/40/18s 20mm wider than stock should be good.
Budget about £100 per tyre.
Thanks

Excellent news and your still with Rotary. :great:
Yes found the Falkens were a good budget tyre, obviously not the best grip but loads of feed back to let you know what the car is doing.
If not for some better "budget" grip have a look at Nankang's
Much aswell keep it. People seem to think rx8s aren't worth more than 1500 even when they have got £400 of suspension and spacers on

and have a rebuilt bridge port motor.
Going to have a look on rx8oc for some tyre choices too

Hey Grant.
Falkens are great,
I can list a bunch of other tyres we would recommend to our customers.
Bridgestone RE-050A
Bridgestone Adrenaline RE-002
Falken FK453 they also have an FK-510 with better wet grip
Toyo Proxes T1-Sport and T1-Sport+
Vredestein Ultrac Vorti
Vredestein Ultrac Satin
Some of these may fall in your budget range.
