Title: Front Fog Lights
Post by: Skifledanabit on October 13, 2016, 04:05:57 PM
Afternoon all, got some front fogs on their way to me, keep reading on a certain american forum that the bulbs are H3C, is this correct? Why do I only keep seeing them as HID bulbs?

Basically I want to go JDM(yo) fanboi yellow for headlights and fogs. osram fog breakers have H4 fitment, which should work nicely now i'm just stuck on the front fog bulb type.

Advice please you glorious, glorious FC owners.

My car doesn't have front fogs, but I would have thought the bulbs are more likely to be H3 bulbs? which is usually a fairly common bulb for front fogs

I hadn't heard of them before but it seems like a H3C is a HID 'version' which fits in the same place as a H3

If you've got the units in front of you, should be pretty easy to work out what bulb they take :)

They're the same style as the H3 but with two prongs instead of the weird wire bit.

But anyhow, that's sorted out now because it involves making up another wire to stick in the plug and ground on the bulb holder screw.

Next question is; I need to wire up a switch to operate them (ideally independently from the rear fog), the original rear fog switch has two wires whereas every fog light wiring kit has 3 wires. Anyone know a good way to wire these in?
