Title: Running very rough and hot issue following a service
Post by: SW7 on June 10, 2016, 08:15:33 PM
Hi All,

Just wondering if there are any rotary experienced guys out there in the bristol area, my rx was fine for 20 minute gentle run in after a service midweek then developed A very bad turn and struggles to turn over.

Am going to start investigating tomorrow before booking the trailer to ship her to wgt in cheshire plus Pip is away for two weeks, wondered if anyone was local who might lend a hand.

Started car from cold, everything fine.

Waited as car warmed up, as the car got warmer the hesitation started and increased as the engine continued to get up to operating temp.

At operating temp it barely stays alive.

Any ideas?

Hi mate. Did you change plugs? Wondering whether bad plug or lead orientation.

What was the service just oil....must be something else...on the apexi you can check the o2 sensor

Do you know how to check it on the apexi?

I can check the standard stuff but not having had s turbo or rotary or used apexi before those are the areas I'm lacking in knowledge and experience

Thanks for the tip, looked up how to check on the power fc and just tried it and 02 stuck on 0.1v so looks like it's gone kaput.

It was attached, my wonder is whether the fact it comes up through my heat shield has cooked the wire inside the heat shield next to the turbo
